What God Do You Worship?

Last night, I posted an investigative video by a reporter named Ben Swann on social media. His story told of a protest that had recently taken place at the CDC here in Atlanta over an admission by a CDC scientist that certain data had been omitted from a study involving vaccines and autism. The omitted data included a possible relationship between the MMR vaccine and a higher incidence of autism and autism symptoms in African American males when it was given before age thirty-six months. Considering the study concluded there was no relationship between the vaccine and autism and was published in the medical journal 'Pediatrics', you would think this would warrant investigation. This is why I posted the video in the first place. The part that people jump on was not the deception, however. The part people pay attention to was arguing whether or not vaccines are good or bad. (You can read/watch the full story HERE.)

It's interesting how when you question people's gods, they come out of the woodwork to defend them. In this particular case the god is "Science." Those of us who dare question the veracity of all those things that have been "proven" in scientific study should be cast into the pit of stupidity!!! It doesn't matter whether or not certain untruths exist within this scientific framework. What really matters is that all science will invariably work out the same time and time again!!! This preeminent truth could not possibly be faked or fudged!!!

Religious devotees use many of the same sorts of arguments to validate their claims about the gods they worship as well. Those of us who dare question the ancient wisdom written down by the prophets of the almighty god should be cast into the pits of hell for our disbelief!!! It doesn't matter whether or not certain groups interpret those words to mean different things! What really matters is truth does not change!!! It cannot be manipulated or controlled by mere mortals!!!

The commonality between the two is the fervent belief that they and they alone have an exclusive understanding of truth. Neither side has all the answers, and this is where the problems begin. When you believe you understand everything you stop asking questions. New understandings of truth can only be attained when you ask the questions that make you look at the situation from a different perspective.

I personally believe there are truths to be learned from all perspectives. Limiting yourself to one or the other limits the facets of truth you are able to uncover.

What god do  you worship? Maybe it's time to discover the god in your heart and open yourself up to the wisdom and knowledge of all!

Program Your Happy

As someone who has fought depression from early adolescence, I know a lot about pain and mental anguish. I also know that, like anything, depression is a choice. Although depression is an extremely difficult thing to step out of once you find yourself firmly there, there are many things you can do to turn yourself around.

Be Happy Techniques:
  1. Pay attention to what you eat! Food is fuel, and there is a great deal of truth in the saying, "Garbage in, garbage out." Although you might get instantaneous pleasure from eating candy or chips, junk food will bring on a crash after that initial sugar rush. Make sure you are getting a good balance of fruits, veggies, protein, and fiber to balance out your moods. It can also be helpful to take a good quality multivitamin supplement to fill in gaps our normal diets do not fill. (Note this is not meant to be medical advice. Always talk to your healthcare provider when changing your healthcare regimen!)
  2. Exercise! Practice yoga. Go walking. Go for a swim. Work in your garden. Clean your house. Ride a bike. Anything that gets you active and uses your muscles will help. That said, it is even better if you can find something that gives you some cardio benefits. This is because working out has the potential to increase your body's production of those feel-good endorphins. It can also help you sleep better by making your body physically tired. (Again, talk to your healthcare provider before making big changes in your daily regimen.)
  3. Being thankful! Take the time to sit down and make a list of the good things in your life. It could be something as simple as sunshine in a clear blue sky or more complex like spending time in your favorite hobby. Write down as many things as you can think of, then spend time daily going over the list and imagining each one. When you spend time dwelling on the good things in your life, you can't help but improve your mood.
  4. Ask for help! Pray. Meditate. Ask Source what you can do to becoming happier. Petition your angels for divine assistance. Ask family members, friends and coworkers to help you stay active and on task. You might start by saying something like, "I have been feeling a little down lately. Would you be willing to help me stay active and not let me be alone/get off task/etc.?" Most people really want to help, but they might not be aware that you are having problems with depression. We all go through times of sadness. It is not a weakness. It is all part of being human!
You can do things to increase your own happiness! Take an active part in caring for yourself. After all, you are worth it!!!

You Are Your Own Healer!

Did you know that you are responsible for your own healing? Usually we think we need to go and see someone else when we have a problem be it a doctor, a counselor, a chiropractor, a minister, etc. The thing is, these people can only help us to a certain extent. They can bind up our wounds, give us new information or a new perspective, but ultimately the rest is up to us and our intentions!

Take a look at doctors (allopathic, homeopathic, or naturopathic). We go to them when our bodies need some sort of physical healing. Very often, we get better after taking their advice. Is it because their treatments always yield results? While you could argue that certain treatments work better for some people than others because of factors like DNA and body chemistry, not everyone is healed. Some people get more sick or even die from the intended cure.

The differences are based on life path and intention. There are times we choose to end our lives through a particular illness or injury, and usually there is a subconscious goal in mind. Illness can serve to teach lessons or heal relationships. Although we perceive the sick person as wanting to live on, there may be an important goal that death can accomplish in that moment.

The fact we are our own healers is probably best illustrated by those addicted to alcohol or drugs. Treatment does not work if a person is unwilling to admit he/she has a problem. When the addiction gets bad enough to land the person in jail or kicked out of the house, the person begins to realize change is needed. It is at that point of awareness the person decides to seek help. While the he/she may attribute the change to treatment or AA, it is ultimately the person's desire to change and the commitment involved that leads to recovery.

If there is an area in your life that needs to be healed (physical, mental, emotional or spiritual), understand it is up to you to create the change! Ask questions. Follow up on new leads. Be willing to do the work. It is up to you to create the changes necessary for growth and empowerment. It is up to you to heal yourself!

Sitting With The Energy

I've had an extremely interesting experience this week that triggered some really deep-seated emotions. While I don't believe the details of what triggered me are important to the world at large, I bring it up now because I want to use this to illustrate the process of sitting with the energy. Under normal circumstances, when we get triggered by strong emotion the first thing we want to do is run away or ignore it. The problem with that is, the underlying problem doesn't go away. It hides for a little while, only to return in the future in the hope that you will finally be willing to sort it all out.

The emotion that triggered me was fear. In a nutshell, I felt threatened as someone tried to stop me from expressing myself. Ironically, my first thought was very ego-driven. "What do I need them for anyway?", was the thought. It was only after this initial reaction that I decided to feel into the situation and see what else came up. It was then I allowed myself to feel that fear. While fear is an extremely uncomfortable feeling, I understood I needed to sit with my fear to see what it would bring up for me.

Sitting with an energy is an extremely easy to do process. What is key to remember is to not judge the feelings. Very often when we have uncomfortable feelings we do what we can to distance ourselves from them because we consider those feelings unacceptable. In other words, we just don't want to feel them so we shut them out and ignore them for more pleasurable pursuits. What is important to remember is that the emotions are not bad in and of themselves. Emotions are our body's way of telling us we need to pay attention to some information that is trying to come into our awareness!

Once you accept that you have those strong emotions, take them into your meditation/prayer time. Connect to your heart. When you are there, begin to ask questions. "What does this emotion bring up for me?", is a great place to start. You may begin to get words, images or even memories. Again, don't judge what comes up. Just allow them to come without telling yourself they are random, irrelevant thoughts. You may even find it helpful to jot down a few notes.

In my particular situation, I began having memories--some of them were past life memories, but they all ran along the same theme. Every memory focused on occasions when I was silenced for expressing a very strong, truth-driven, intuitive divine feminine insight. It was always a male energy that was trying to stifle me (although not always done by a male). In many instances, physical strength was used against me to "keep me in my place" as a woman.

The personal lesson in all this is that I have a very powerful message to share that I need to be more willing to express, even at times when it is so threatening to others that they have to attempt to stifle it in some way. I don't need to fight about it, but I do need to be strong and be willing to stand in my truth.

It is amazing the insights that come to you when you allow yourself time to sit with those uncomfortable energies. Understand your heart is not only your direct connection to Source wisdom, but it is also your connection to Source strength and power. All the support you need will come to you at the appropriate time when you take the time to connect within.

Our Current Timeline

As a serious alternative news junkie, I am constantly looking for signs that progress is being made. Are there any criminal politicians being arrested (or at least accusations coming to light)? What is going on with regards to alternative/free energy? What is happening to the financial markets and what changes are taking place with the world economy? While I see progress being made on all fronts, I am also sensing a pattern that events are still highly controlled, and this is what I feel led to point out today.

I see the economy changing substantially over the course of the next few years. I do believe things will improve, at least somewhat, for the vast majority of poor and middle class people on the planet. However, I don't believe these improvements will be because humanity is "winning". I believe We the People have been pushed close enough to the breaking point and are angry. What will happen in the next few years is being done to calm the masses back down to the point we will no longer want to erupt and topple the current powers that be. That is their fear, and that is the only reason these changes are happening. Do not be fooled. Those running things behind the scenes are still largely in control. It's all about "bread and circuses" and understanding that once you have fed and entertained the masses they go back to being docile.

Perhaps the most positive changes we can focus on are those regarding alternative/free energy. Since the time of Tesla, many factions of the cabal (aka the powers that be) have worked hard to keep this information from being revealed. Because of some key standout players, progress has been made to the point that we are on the verge of real change! Just this month, the Keshe Foundation released its free energy technology to some of the poorest third world countries in an effort to help them become more energy self-sufficient. Yesterday, the information went live on the internet so that government suppression is no longer an option!!! Those of you who are scientifically minded need to follow up on this technology and become familiar with it so you can build your own free energy devices to free yourselves and others from dependence on the multinational corporate state. (For more information go to Keshe Foundation. Note that if you have trouble with the link, it is an extremely busy website this week!)

I have to confess I have good deal of respect for Russia's Vladimir Putin. While I don't believe he is the savior of mankind, I do believe the actions he is taking on behalf of his country will benefit all of humanity in the long run. He has already called out the criminal actions of the United States regarding their creation of ISIS and is actively working to dismantle it and maintain order in the Middle East. This one act is decimating the plans of the New World Order for supreme control over the planet.

From my perspective, it is highly important for us to focus on the criminal activities of those we have allowed to have power over us--politicians, royalty, celebrities, etc. It is only by revealing/illuminating their crimes that we have any hope in overcoming their criminal rule over us. We need to actively protect whistleblowers and their families--everyone from Assange, Manning and Snowden on down to the people who have personally witnessed criminal activity and reported it, only to find they were put into prison on trumped up charges. The sacrifices these people have made on behalf of humanity cannot be underestimated!!! We will never be free from these criminals until we have shined the light on the wrongs they commit against humanity and the world. They need to be taken out of power and locked up in a place where they can no longer hurt anyone again.

Most importantly, it is time for each one of us to learn to connect to our hearts and our own divine link to Source energy. The more time we spend in connection, the less likely we are to be led around by our experiences and our programming. We are capable of seeing new options and making new choices. We are free to claim our own personal power once again as we connect to all that is. By doing so, we all have the power to positively effect the course of the entire planet.

It is up to all of us to claim our power and create the world of our dreams. Until we do this, we will continue to have the same sorts of problems that affect us at present. Time to connect...empower...and create!!!

What Energy Do You Want To Create?

Are you aware that the energy you project is largely a matter of intention? Most of the time, we don't give any thought to the energy we put out into the world. Consequently, the intention part of the process gets lost because we typically run on auto-pilot. All this means is that most of the time we are intending to go with what we already know!

Now that you understand this, are you happy with the energy/frequency you put out in the world? If not, here are a few tips to being intentional about the energy you create!

Tips For Creating More Positive Energy

  1. Get connected to your heart! Not only will this help you see what energies you are creating and projecting, but it will also allow you to explore the reasons for those energies. If you see a problem, you can ask God/Source what you can do to fix it! Following the advice and wisdom that comes from your heart will automatically change your frequency to something more positive!
  2. Focus on those you love! Take a few moments every day and think about all the beings you love. They could be human, animal, plant life, Mother Earth, etc. Remember those loving feelings you have toward them as well as all those things they provide back to you, including love. Love is an extremely powerful frequency. When you remember and feel it, you can then project it out from yourself toward everything you encounter.
  3. Listen to healing music (or create your own)! Your heart will guide you in this area. As you listen to such music, the frequencies created with be absorbed into your own frequency and then be projected out by you.
  4. Laugh! Laughing is one of the best ways to change your frequency! Not only does it change your energy, but it has a very healing effect on your body that can actually take away pain and cause physical healing!
  5. Physically connect to Mother Earth! Take off your shoes and walk in the grass. Lay on the beach. Place your hands on a living tree. Gaia gives off her own frequency that you can absorb when you directly touch her! It can physically heal your body as it tunes your frequency to hers! Take advantage of this free resource!
It is up to each one of us to take responsibility for the energy we create in the world. After all, what we project will either heal or hinder our own personal growth and the growth of others. Choose to be a force for light and keep your frequency raised high!

Eradicating Evil

Just a few short years ago, I lived in a make-believe world. I thought most people, including those who ran the planet, were just like me--trying to do good in the world while making a few mistakes here and there along the way.

I no longer believe that. Instead, I believe the people who currently run planet Earth are evil beyond belief. Murder, lies, theft, corruption. If it gives them advantage, they are willing to do anything to maintain their power and control.

I didn't want to leave my make-believe world. It was comfortable. It felt safe. It was what I had always known. One of the hardest things I've ever done in my life was to give up my false beliefs for the evidence I began seeing once I asked the right questions. I literally watched my world crumble down to its very foundation, and I have had to work hard to build it back into something I could once again depend on. It's difficult to believe I lived in denial for so long, it all seems obvious to me now.

As I look around, many of the people I love still live in that make-believe world. It's frustrating to me because they try to fix the world using the same old tired solutions--solutions that have been provided by the false gods of this pseudo-world to keep us occupied with meaningless gestures that maintain their status quo. The problems can only be fixed if we actually see them. Consequently, the powers that be have done everything they can to hide their actions.

In order to eradicate evil, we have to expose it to the light. We have to spotlight what they do so powerfully it is impossible for anyone to be in denial any longer. It is only when people fully understand the evil that they are willing to step up in their own power and change things. This is what transparency is all about.

This is also what connecting to your heart is all about. When you connect to your heart and access Oneness, you access the divine. You access all knowledge and wisdom available in the One. There can be no greater transparency than that.

Connecting to the divine through your heart also has another advantage: it allows you to clearly see the path your own life needs to take. Your heart is what connects you to the bigger picture and shows you how you can help improve life here on planet Earth.

Eradicating evil will not be an easy task. It is a process and will probably take years as there is a lot of light that needs to be uncovered on our planet. Understand the process begins with us taking the time to connect to the light within and using that guidance and wisdom to be the change we wish to see in the world.

Recognizing The Spirit Of Pride

This morning I feel a very strong need to focus on pride. Pride, when kept in check, can be a good thing. It allows you to step out in your gifts and talents and use them to improve the world. Beyond this, pride can be a trap that opens you up to dark entities.

Back when I was in college. I spent a few summers working as a tour guide at a historic site owned by my church known as the Kirtland Temple. It happened to be in my mother's hometown, and I had grown up loving the building. Not only was it the landmark I looked for when taking trips to my grandparents' house, but I loved going to the Christmas and Easter services that were still held there with my aunt, who was a very active church member there. When I found out I could spend summers leading people on tours through the building, I knew it was something I had to do.

Jeff Lundgren, along with his wife Alice, were volunteer tour guides who lived in one of the houses on the Temple property the first summer I worked in Kirtland. After initially not liking him (which I now know was my heart telling me to be cautious), I let my guard down when he made the statement, "I know we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, but I hope that won't stop us from having a good working relationship." After that, I allowed his supposed knowledge of scripture and the opinions held by other tour guides and church members to cloud my judgment.

As I look back on the man Jeff was, I can feel the spirit of pride that bordered on arrogance. Jeff was very sure of himself. We was well-versed in the scriptures of my church and he was a master at putting them together in ways you had never heard before that actually made logical sense. Even though Jeff did not usually come right out and say "You need to listen to me because I know what I'm talking about", the pride he had in this knowledge said that. There was definitely something subtle in him that enjoyed the attention this ability brought, and he reveled in the knowledge he was well thought of enough to be followed.

And this is where the spirit of pride takes a turn for the worse. If this pride becomes something that desires to be followed, there is some darkness there. How do I know? I know because the heart does not tell you to follow another person. The heart counsels us to follow it to connection and purpose. Anything outside yourself that demands your attention to the point where you turn your power over to it is not a good thing.

There are many would be leaders who are calling for our attention. Those who expect us to follow with blind allegiance are ones we need to be especially cautious of. Ironically, they can sometimes share very powerful truths. We need to allow our hearts to tell us what those truths are and skip the rest.

Recognizing the spirit of pride will guide us around potential pitfalls. Your heart knows the way! Consult it first and it will tell you all things that you should do!

Heavenly Intervention

In the course of our life plans, there are times we get stuck on where to go or what to do. Being in a certain place during a certain time our lives is extremely important to helping us fulfill our overall life missions. It is on these occasions divine intervention can come in handy. Even helping us find jobs can be the work of our angels!

In one of the daycare centers I worked at, I had a coworker with an interesting story. I had worked with her quite a while before she told me how she came to be employed there. She had just moved to town with her boyfriend and was scouring the newspaper for job listings. She saw an ad for a job as a daycare teacher and called. She got the details of what the job involved, then after she got off the phone she realized she had not gotten directions to the center. She called back. The next day when she went to go fill out the application, she was asked how she came to apply there. She responded that she had seen our ad in the newspaper. The office manager gave her a very strange look and said, "We didn't have an ad in the paper." What got me was the fact that she had called the number she found in the paper not once but TWICE and apparently got the same (heavenly?) operator!

Another friend of mine had a social work degree in rural Iowa. Jobs can be extremely hard to come by in Iowa, even when the country is not in recession/depression. One day when she was looking for work, she got a call from her husband. He said he had just heard a nearby hospital had a social work opening and she needed to call this particular man at this particular place. He even helpfully gave her the phone number to call. She called and asked about the job and mentioned her qualifications. The man she talked to then said, "We do have a job opening, but how did you know? I've only just told my secretary about it and nobody else knew!" She then mentioned her husband had told her and even gave her the information. The man was surprised but scheduled the interview right then and there. Later that evening, she asked her husband how he had found out about the job opening. He gave her a funny look and asked what she was talking about. She reminded him he had called and given her the information. He then told her he had not called and had no idea who did! Consequently, she did end up with the job, and she never forgot the divine intervention that helped her land it!

There are times in our lives where it is important to our soul purpose to be at in a place we can be of service. Angels and other heavenly helpers may step in to make sure these things are accomplished. Know that the Universe does indeed have your back as you follow the guidance and wisdom of your heart.

Home Is Where The Heart Is!

I've lived in quite a few different places over the years. I began life in Ohio and lived in that state until the summer I turned fifteen. At that point, my father's job took us to South Carolina, where I spent the next three years making friends and absorbing a whole new unexpected culture. During the next phase of my journey, I ended up in Iowa. I went there for school and pretty much stayed there most of the next twelve years after marrying someone who also had family there. My life changed again when that marriage fell apart and I moved to Georgia to be close to my parents.

While I've made friends everywhere I've lived and enjoyed various things about each place, Georgia is the only place I've never wanted to move away from. I'm not saying Georgia is the best place I've ever lived. It's just that this is the place my heart tells me I should be.

When I was growing up in Ohio, I was always curious about new places. I enjoyed going on cross country trips with my family. I loved meeting people from new places. I always wanted to explore and I was definitely open to the idea of moving someplace different.

South Carolina met that requirement in ways I never imagined possible. I got to see the ocean for the first time. I was able to hike small mountains and appreciate the sweetness of fruit grown in red clay. Even more interesting was exploring a culture I had read about in my history books, but never really knew or understood until I found myself living in the middle of it. It was all wonderful and all worth it! Still, it wasn't really home.

Iowa was perhaps the place I had the most trouble living in. Between college, my job, and the church I attended I had lots of good, solid friends. There was a great deal of beauty in the rolling farmland and the colorful sunrises and sunsets. Still, I was never content there, never at home. I always felt like I wanted to be somewhere else the whole time I lived there without ever understanding why.

The why is that my heart was calling me elsewhere. It knew I was not meant to be in Iowa forever. It knew there was somewhere else I needed to put down roots. Consequently when I ended up in Georgia (pretty much kicking and screaming in the beginning), my life began to take on a more calm and settled quality.

I was very broken when I came to Georgia. I had been trying to keep my ten+ year marriage afloat while raising three very small children and I was literally exhausted. My parents welcomed us with open arms, and I found even more family in the church we attended. As I healed, I began to appreciate the world I had ended up in. While Georgia has many of the same geographical features South Carolina has, it also has a much more cosmopolitan approach to life and the world thanks to Atlanta and its international airport. While I am still curious about various places and peoples around the world, I find myself wanting the visit those places but see myself coming back home to Georgia.

Georgia is the first place I feel settled--the first place I truly never want to leave for more than a vacation. I love exploring the countryside. I enjoy wandering in the city. I know that mountains and beaches are easy drives away. I love the fact that Georgia still has four seasons but the winters are mild. There are many days when I look at my husband and say, "I'm so happy to be in Georgia!", and indeed I am!

Your heart knows what your adventures need to be. Your heart knows where your best interests lie. That's because your heart is your connection to God/Source/Oneness. If you are discontent with anything, understand that is the wisdom of your heart calling you to change. Trust its guidance. It will lead you home.

Purging And Releasing

I've noticed some extremely interesting shifts going on in my personal life lately. They seem to cover the gamut of my life--friends, religion/belief system, even social media. Pretty much everything is represented in the turmoil. As the emotions come up, I am allowing myself some time to sit with them, and I question why they are appearing. So far, the answers have been surprising.

For example, several friends whom I have been close to in the past seem to be much more distant lately. Granted, we all lead pretty busy lives, but this appears to be more than that. For the most part, I don't perceive that it is personal, but I am feeling as though they are supposed to have diminished roles in my present life. I am allowing that to happen with the understanding that those I need (and who need me) will show up for me at the appropriate times. While I am allowing myself to be open to the return of these friends, whether or not that happens remains to be seen.

I've been much better at defining and vocalizing my spiritual beliefs lately. As this happens, I notice bits and pieces of my former beliefs purging themselves from my consciousness. They served me well at certain points in my life and I am thankful they were there. However, I am becoming aware of new understandings beginning to take up residence in all those empty spaces.

The things going on with social media are perhaps the most intriguing. I am becoming more aware of the various energies carried by friends I know in real life and those I only know through the internet. I am sensing both the light and darkness emanating from various ones and using some caution with what I absorb and what I discard. Discernment. I'm in a place where I'm really not discarding anyone or the information they present. I am becoming aware of the need to consult my heart and the Oneness therein for understanding. Increasingly, asking my heart first is becoming habit.

That's really what all the purging and releasing has been all about lately--becoming more aware of the heart connection within and following that instead of the usual mind/experience/programming approach. We are in the middle of figuring out who to follow, with the inevitable understanding that we ourselves are our own best guides.

We will continue to purge and release until it is natural for us to live from a heart-based consciousness. The shift is not an easy one, but it is necessary if we want to change life on planet Earth for the better.

The Importance Of The Gospel of Judas

In the 1970's, a deteriorating papyrus document appeared at an antiquities shop in Egypt. Written in Coptic and dating to around AD 280 (according to radiocarbon testing), the document, known as the Gospel of Judas, told the story of Jesus and his disciple Judas from a very different perspective. As the story goes, instead of betraying Jesus for money, Judas was asked by Jesus to let leaders know of his whereabouts so his destiny of dying would be fulfilled.

The whole idea that Jesus asked Judas to betray him goes against pretty much every Christian philosophy believed in the present day. Yes, it was supposed to happen, but Jesus didn't make it happen. Judas was just a bad guy for performing such a dastardly deed and will burn in the pits of hell forever. That, of course, fits into the whole good/bad, right/wrong philosophy we are taught is the basis of our existence, otherwise known as duality. We're all supposed to be standing for good and fighting evil, right?

What if there is another way? What if the Gospel of Judas is trying to reveal something more about the divine nature of man? In my way of thinking, the Gospel of Judas imparts some extremely profound teachings about the nature of Oneness.

Going back to the cannonized Bible, there are several places where believers are instructed to give thanks in all things, which I have to believe includes the "bad" things right along with the "good". If you live your life from a right/wrong, good/bad belief system, the idea seems pretty counterintuitive.

The first time I was able to visit Oneness, one very powerful thing stood out to me. Everything I had ever known was in this place--people, plants, the Earth, cars, buildings, songs, paintings, money, emotions, etc. Many of these things were what I had always considered to be "bad", yet there they were in this place of Oneness where everything melded together in blissful perfection. In Oneness, there was no bad. In Oneness, it made perfect sense to be thankful for all things!

The Gospel of Judas portrays a belief system where there is no judgment. A circumstance that appears bad or negative (Jesus death) was necessary for the eventual salvation of man (the resurrection). Jesus, through Judas, made sure it happened. No duality. Just everything working together for the benefit of the whole. Oneness.

I can't say whether or not the Gospel of Judas is history or mythology. I can't even tell you for sure Jesus had a near death experience. What I can say is this: the Book of Judas allows us to see an alternative to duality. When we can appreciate the concept that all things work together for good, we will have traded duality for Oneness.

Ascension, the Rapture, and Spirituality

There is a popular New Age principle referred to as Ascension. In one form or another, it hints at a human's potential for upward expansion. While there are many versions of what is supposed to happen in this process, the most disturbing to me is the thought that certain people have made more progress than others. In this version of ascension, those who have made it to a certain stage of development by an unspecified date will magically enter a much higher realm. After all, those who are ready to ascend have such different frequencies than those still asleep. They no longer need to deal with the problems average mortals face!

Ironically, this particular idea of Ascension reminds me heavily of the Christian concept of the Rapture. The Rapture is supposedly the time when Christ returns back to earth. He will gather his believers to him and save them from the great tribulation that will fall on those left behind. Become a good Christian and you too will be saved from a potentially terrible fate!

What bothers me about these two concepts is judgment. In Ascension, those who have learned enough to overcome the limitations of society will go on to a place free from those who cannot handle it. In the Rapture, people are judged by God and if found to be following the precepts He has laid out will be separated out and spared from potential pain. In either scenario, there are standards to be followed which will determine whether or not you make the cut. To me, both ideas scream separation and ego--not very spiritual ideas in my book.

I would offer up an alternative view of Ascension. I see Ascension as a learning process. While we may be at different stages of growth and development, it is not about making any cut or adhering to any standard. It is about learning to deal with your pain and your obstacles in ways to keep you moving forward. We all backslide at times, and that is part of the process. Beings are not singled out for punishment or accolades. Rather, each individual success is a success for the greater whole. Ascension is ever changing, progressive. It has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with Oneness.

If your principles on spirituality result in leaving people out, might I suggest you try looking at them from a different angle? Ask yourself if you would really be happy with part of your family or friends left behind? It would be as if part of yourself was left behind (and indeed it would be exactly that).

We're all on this human journey together. When we understand how to live and work together, we will be on the road to Ascension. When we are unwilling to leave anyone behind, we will have arrived in the promised land!

Healing Thru Forgiveness: An Invitation

Several years ago when my youngest son was still in high school, I realized I would have some extra time on my hands in very short order. I didn't want to be one of those moms who have nothing left to accomplish once their children are grown. I decided to figure out what my dreams were, and I set out on a course to fulfill them. In the process, my writing progressed into the blog you see before you, designed to help people connect to their hearts and the voice of God within. Still, there seemed to be more I wasn't getting. In just the past couple of weeks, my thoughts and desires have melded into one perfect whole I am calling Healing Thru Forgiveness.

The concept is just what it sounds like, using forgiveness to heal. It isn't exactly new and different, but as I look back on my life I realize I have been preparing for this possibility most of my existence. I have encountered many opportunities to forgive and to be forgiven. In the process, I have learned to heal myself and others and forge ahead to much more positive outcomes and possibilities. They are ideas that don't require any special healer other than yourself, and I am happy to share them with you so that you can become a happier, healthier you.

In a nutshell, the process involves identifying all those blocks you need to work past (others, yourself, your experiences and your programming) and actively and consciously let them go. There are many ways to do this. I plan on sharing them in this blog, writing about them in book form, developing workshops, and acting as facilitator to help you work through your own process. I can't wait to see the changes, both in myself and in you!!!

Sometimes it takes a lifetime for an idea to come together and make sense. It is time for all of us to come together and heal ourselves. When we heal our own energy, we in turn become the frequency that heals the whole world. Join me?

Tired Of Labels!!!

I am not a capitalist,
a socialist,
a communist.
I am not Democrat
or Republican
or Libertarian.
Politics do not define me.

I am not a Christian,
a Jew,
a Muslim,
a Buddhist,
a Hindu,
an Agnostic,
an Atheist,
a Witch
or practioner of any other religion.
Religions do not define me.

I will be classified by society as
female
and heterosexual,
Not by any choice I have consciously made,
But because the world loves
to place people into neat little defined boxes.

If I have to BE something,
allow me to be
creative,
and witty,
and sensitive,
and passionate,
and loving.
Allow me to stand
on my own two feet
and express the
thoughts
and feelings
and intuitions
of my heart--
my heart that is infinitely connected
to your heart.

My value system consists of
following that beating within
in the hope that
my response will be what is needed by
the world,
others,
myself.
Allow me to express
the love I feel
without judging it,
without criticizing it.
Let my love be enough
for you to understand
we are not separate!

I am tired of separation,
tired of feeling lost
and alone.
I am tired of labels.
I release them in the winds of change
and watch them blow away
into nothingness.

The Power Of Ho'oponopono

I came upon the principle of Ho'oponopono a number of years ago. In a nutshell, it is an ancient Hawaiian prayer of healing and reconciliation that is comprised of four distinct parts: I'm sorry, forgive me, thank you, and I love you. From personal experience, I know this to be an extremely powerful healing modality that not only changes you but can change everything around you as well!

First and foremost, Ho'oponopono takes personal responsibility for yourself and your world. The thought is not that you have forced those around you into certain actions. Rather, the frequency you carry has impact on the world around you. You are accepting responsibility for your BEing.

In the first step, I'm sorry, you acknowledge the role you have played in creating the circumstances around you. You acknowledge you have not been carrying a frequency that has been helpful. You become willing to let it go and unblock the stuck energy you have created and allowed. You feel that frequency, understand it, and clear it.

The second step, please forgive me, clears the energy from those it effects. In energetic terms, it addresses the other being who has been harmed by the energy you carry and asks the other person's energy to resolve the tension/block through forgiveness.

The third step, thank you, acknowledge's the other person's part in the healing. The other's energy has allowed the blocked energy to give way, and this is your way of appreciating that person for helping you resolve it.

The fourth and final step, I love you, is designed to reinforce and strengthen this newly healed relationship. It allows your heart to fully open up to the person you had been separated from and claim whole and healthy relationship once again.

Energetic blocks come to us from many directions throughout our lifetimes. Often we are unaware of the cause because we are busy trying to live life based on what we think we know--what we have been taught.

When you find yourself at odds with a fellow human being, understand that something has caused an energetic block/separation. By following the simplicity of the Ho'oponopono prayer, you have one more tool to create flow in your life once again!

The Transition

The world is a crazy place. Our lives seem to be falling apart. Our jobs are becoming more stressful as more responsibility gets dumped on us, or we are losing them altogether. Medical crises, housing issues, inconsistent friendships and general life changes are the norm right now. The important thing to understand about the now is this: we are all in transition. We are exiting the mind way of thinking and entering the heart way of thinking.

We have lived in the mind way of thinking for millenia. This is the part of us that uses our "rational" thinking. This is the part of us that bases our actions on what society and our experiences have taught us and what we deem are logical actions according to that information. This is also that part of us that keeps us separate and in ego. It is the part of us that is willing to give up our personal power because we believe that we, as humans, are weak and need something bigger and more powerful than ourselves to save us.

We are transitioning toward a more heart-based approach to living. Living from the heart means being conscious and aware of our connection to Oneness and God/Source. When we are connected to our hearts, we are able to draw on all knowledge and all power that is available in Oneness. We stop being self-centered and become centered, grounded and whole. We are no longer separate, no longer in a state of dependency. We take responsibility for who we are and live accordingly.

Understand the craziness comes in because this transition is a huge process. It is a totally different way of thinking, a whole new way of living! Expect the problems to continue as we struggle through this change. Becoming awake and aware is difficult for most people. It requires throwing out all those false beliefs we have built our lives on and rebuilding our worlds from the ground up.

This process will take quite a few years to complete. Know that if you are reading this, you are probably a little more awake and aware than the average person. That means you are on the front lines and will be prone to extra attacks from those who resist change the hardest. Don't take those attacks personally. It is just part of the process. Find others who are where you are at and come together for mutual support--even if that support is limited to those you know on the internet.

We are living in exciting times! Understand we will all be much better off in the long run, but we have to go through this transition in order to get to the other side. The changes will feel much smoother when we acknowledge the difficulty of the journey and accept them as they are.

Light Attracts Darkness

Ever feel like you're living under a black cloud? Are there days when it seems the more light you shine the darker the world around you gets? It is not your imagination! The simple fact of the matter is, light attracts darkness!

Picture a heat-seeking missile. A target comes into range and the missile is sent. The missile itself does not really have a mind of its own. It just goes to the source of the heat that it is programmed to seek.

So too does darkness seek light. While I do believe there is an intelligence that has sent it, the darkness is really just doing what comes naturally. It will either extinguish the light or be illumined by it.

Here are a few things you can do to keep darkness at bay:
  1. Ask for protection from God/Source/your angels/your higher self. Visualize yourself surrounded by your angels or an impenetrable white light barrier that is impervious to darkness and or/changes the frequency of darkness.
  2. Surround yourself with high vibrating people. There are people who are obviously bright lights who have also learned to dispel darkness. Hanging out with those people will allow your frequency to tune into theirs and take on more of that frequency.
  3. Use meditation to regularly tune in to Source energy so you become that frequency. Taking the time to connect into your heart will keep you centered on positive energies.
  4. Fill yourself with good thoughts and things. Read positive books. Listen to positive, uplifting, healing music. Watch shows that make you laugh or cry happy tears. Spend time in the company of those you love. Anything you can do to keep your vibration high will dispel darkness.
  5. Find ways to uplift others. When you actively seek to help another, your own energy changes for the better. You become a higher frequency and are better able to handle and transform the darkness.
  6. BE love. Practice giving and receiving love with those you come into contact with, both with those you are close to and those you would rather avoid. Love is one of the most powerful tools at our disposal that can infiltrate and change darkness. Use it daily.
You have the power to change the course of your life any time you choose. Be intentional about keeping the darkness at bay and it will flee from you.

Dealing With The Changing Energies

I have had several discussions with friends about the wildly changing energies that have been going on over the last several months. There are many days when the world seems so tense and chaotic that people are at the limits of what they can handle. It has been one crazy roller coaster ride, and at this point there don't seem to be any signs of it letting up any time soon.

There is no doubt in my mind this is all happening because the world is in a state of rapid evolution. While progress is being made, the changes are not smooth and this is why we all feel so out of balance.

Understand that nothing is going to stay the same for long. Everything is going to seem unstable as things change...and change again. Getting grounded and finding your center is going to take some work on your part.

How to Ground Yourself In The Midst Of Change
  1. Follow your daily meditation/connection practice. It is much easier to remain connected to Source energy when you take time to connect every day. When you are stressed, habits are easy to fall back into. (Connecting To Heart) (Your Daily Practice)
  2. Stay in the present. By focusing on what is happening in this moment, you limit the amount of time you stay in fear or regret. (In This Moment Of Now)
  3. Focus on the positive aspects of change. Remember that the Universe is conspiring to provide for the greater good. What may not feel good at the moment will ultimately work out for the good of all--including yourself. (The Blessing In The Struggle
  4. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable. Change is only going to occur at a more rapid pace the further along we go. When you anticipate the change it is much easier to roll with the punches.
We are capable of remaining calm and stable in this period of great change! Help those around you cope by being the example they need to see to understand how it is done!!!

Life In Evolution

My beliefs about good medicine have changed radically during my lifetime. As a small child, I can remember my mother taking me to the doctor for regular checkups. I always hated going to the doctor, but I was raised to believe it was a necessary evil. I was so much a part of this mindset that I took my own children to the doctor for checkups as well.

In college, my major was psychology so I spent some time researching medical studies in order to write some of my papers. I learned all about what was supposed to make studies valid--things like double blinds and actual experiments as opposed to correlational studies. The ability to wade through medical research served me well after my first daughter died of a Group B Strep infection.

When something bad happens, I am the sort of person who wants to understand exactly what happened so that I can figure out a way that it won't happen again. My questions and research led me to a group of parents who had formed an organization to educate other parents about the potential dangers of GBS. In process, I poured over medical research so well that I understood the differences between bacteria and viruses as well as what studies had been done regarding the fight against this potent bacteria. At the time, I still accepted that American medicine had my best interests at heart (and I still believe the vast majority of MD's really are trying to do what is best for the patient based on the knowledge they are given). I became an advocate of testing pregnant women for the bacteria and treating them with antibiotics at delivery if they tested positive.

Although I labored many years under the belief testing and treatment for GBS was the best strategy for combating it, my approach to medicine has again changed over time. Problems I had with my second daughter with depression and bipolar disorder led me to new information and new understandings, including the understanding that the immune system is based largely in the digestive tract and that healthy food plays a large part in keeping a person physically and mentally healthy. As antibiotics kill healthy bacteria as well as bad, they may not be the best way to help an already compromised immune system.

I'll be the first to admit my beliefs about medicine have undergone radical changes over time. Am I upset with myself that I once believed (and advocated) the idea that antibiotics were the way to defeat GBS and infant illness and death? I am not. I was doing my best with the information I had at the time. I was basing this on answers to my questions at the time. As always, there is much more to discover. It is all a process.

Our lives are an evolutionary process. We ask questions, see new information, and believe we have found truth--at least for a while. Then something else happens, causing us to ask new questions and acquire new information. What we have really uncovered is not necessarily absolute truth but a new perspective on it.

We are all works in progress. Be gentle with yourself as you evolve in this lifetime. The answers you find today may change radically as your life experience changes tomorrow. Go with the flow.

Behind The Game Face

Years ago, I had an experience that still occasionally makes me question my own sanity. I was having a conversation with my first husband when I noticed something strange. It was my husband's body standing there, but his eyes were different. It was as though someone or something else was controlling his body and I could see this entity looking out at me. I knew it was not my husband. It shocked me so much my own Christian background took over. I raised my hand up toward him and said, "In Jesus name, I command you to leave my husband alone." Then I was shocked at myself for having said such a thing. I found myself saying, "You probably thought that was really stupid, didn't you?" The strangest part of that experience was when he replied back, "No."

I have discussed the presence of entities before. (Becoming Aware Of Entities) The thing is, most occasions we do not recognize them, either because we are so used to seeing them and they appear normal or because they have hidden themselves behind much more pleasing personalities. The hidden personalities--those behind the game face--are what I wish to address today.

How can we carry entities around without being aware of them? How is it that some people have extremely evil entities inside themselves that go unnoticed by others?

There are entities (usually powerful ones) who understand if they were to appear at normal times there is a likelihood they will be detected. Detection brings the problem that other people will help the one carrying the entity get rid of it. These entities usually prefer to remain in the background until such time as they can appear without impunity. This is why many of our leaders and celebrities appear all goodness-and-light while they hide horrible secrets. Understand that what appears before you may be the real human soul--the one that is just like the rest of us.

How can we know there is something we need to be cautious around? By asking questions and consulting our hearts! Even though you do not sense danger at that moment, asking your heart if there is anything you need to be aware of that could become a problem later on is a good place to start. Just asking the question allows you to become open to additional information.

When we take situations at face value, we can miss information that may help us down the road. When we are aware there could be something hidden behind the game face, we are less likely to become victims. We are empowered to act in ways that keep us whole and heal the planet. Continue to stay open and be aware.

The Secret

While I am definitely a fan of the movie and book of the same title, this is not going to be a rehash of the Law of Attraction. For me, this particular secret is even more powerful because it involves one overriding principle that, when understood, can mean the difference between claiming your own personal power or letting it go. The secret is simple. Your life is all about you! It sounds rather selfish and self-centered, but let me explain.

We have been conditioned to believe our lives are dependent on what we can do for something besides ourselves. The focus could be God or family or friends or your country or the world or many other things. Regardless of the focus, believing we should devote ourselves to something outside ourselves is all that is needed to convince people to give up their personal power. Your life becomes dependent on listening to what the needs of others are and following those leads.

When we look to find meaning outside ourselves we are not consulting our hearts. We are not consulting Oneness. We are not attempting to find the answers in the one place that actually holds all the answers!!! It then becomes easy for people who collect power to convince you to hand your power over to them because they, of course, are working for the exact focus of your life! They know what you should do and will even be happy to help you do it!!!

The fact of the matter is, consulting your heart first and foremost cannot possibly be selfish or self-centered because your heart takes the big picture into account and works for the good of the whole. Living from the heart is not about ego. It's about allowing the world to flow naturally and asking your heart to show you all those places you fit into it.

We are not here to teach or show people how to live. We are not here to fix what is broken in them. That is their job. They are here to have their own learning experiences, just as we are here to have our own. Your life is all about you! Appreciate the opportunities for growth you have been given as you journey through this life. Be willing to take responsibility for it!!!

The Problem With Arguments

I'll admit it. I have a few soapbox issues that will still make me want to argue with other well meaning people. I'm better at recognizing them now than I was in the past, but I am still a work-in-progress. The thing is, arguments do not take us to a good place. They take us to a distracting place, and that is the whole problem.

Look at the debate on gun control. On one side of the debate you have people who do not like guns. They don't like the fact guns can be deadly. They don't like the perceived pain guns can cause. These people wish guns did not exist.

On the other side are the people who own guns (or at least believe people should have the right to own them). These people will use the guns to protect themselves. Sometimes they use them to hunt or just the thrill of shooting a target at the shooting range. One thing they don't do is go around shooting other people. Yes, every once in a while there is a tragic accident or someone becomes enraged and acts before thinking, but the VAST majority of gun owners go their whole lives without incident.

While I can see both sides of the argument, I also see this: arguing about the right to own guns gets nobody anywhere. All it does is serve to piss people off so they don't cooperate in other ways. The other sad truth is, neither argument addresses the real issues!

Instead of arguing, we should be asking questions! For example, why did the most recent shooting take place on an Oregon college campus? Was the shooter mentally ill? Was he on drugs? Was he angry? The point is, mental illness, drug use and anger management are the issues that need to be addressed!!! Giving someone a gun or taking one away is not the point!!! You can kill someone with a knife or a car or a baseball bat just as easily as you can kill someone with a gun!!!

When we wrap ourselves in arguments over things like guns or religion or politics or marriage, we unwittingly wrap ourselves up in the problems instead of the solutions! Arguments serve no useful purpose at all, unless you are one of the world's power brokers. The people in power are invested in our arguments because arguments distract us from our true callings. This is why the media (which they own and control) brings these arguments to us in every way imaginable--even through our entertainment!

Arguments do not allow us to fix the world. Want to create a new and improved world? Stop arguing and focus on solutions!!! It's that simple.

The Battle Is Spiritual

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
I believe nuggets of wisdom can be found in the Bible. This particular quote is one of them. It hints about other realms and dimensions in which you can find problems--problems that may not be picked up on in this physical third-dimensional reality but effect it all the same. (For more discussion on recognizing these problems, see Becoming Aware Of Entities.) I was reminded about these battles after watching the Christian movie "War Room". There are times when the battles are almost strictly spiritual. We only know that something more is going on because our lives feel "off".

So what are we to do when the battle is unseen? Here are some of the tools I use to ward off such negative energies.

  1. Belief. It is important to understand the Universe is there to assist you in any way you need. When you have that inner knowledge that even seemingly bad things will work out in your favor, you can be thankful for the storm and circumstances will begin to change for the better!
  2. Prayer. Asking for help from your higher power is always beneficial. Just as there are negative entities there are also positive ones. We all have beings that are assigned to assist us in this earthy life (sometimes referred to as angels/guardian angels). They are there to assist us anytime we need it, although in most circumstances they must be called on.
  3. Intention. When you feel things in your life not going as you'd like, it is time to focus on the positive things you want to see happen. Believe the Universe and your higher power are there to assist you and see them doing so. Envision an invisible bubble of protection or a white light surrounding you. The apostle Paul in the Bible talks about putting on your spiritual armor. You can also set the intention that your actions will have extra power that will cut through the mess and make things better.
  4. Meditation. When I am off my game, the first thing I often do will be to get grounded so I can think clearly. While your heart speaks to you through your emotions, emotions can overwhelm you if you let them. When you take the time to sit back and listen, the Universe will help you figure out what is going on and present you with ways to change your circumstances. (This is why I truly believe daily practice is a requirement. It helps you remember how to get back to a state of Oneness when you are in a state of stress.)
The battle is spiritual! Know you have the tools necessary to stay standing and thrive!!!

Righteous Anger

Just a few short days ago, a hospital run by the charitable group Doctors Without Borders in the Afghan city of Kunduz was bombed by US forces. Although the United States is trying to justify what happened by calling it "collateral damage", the fact of the matter is the hospital was the target. Collateral damage is a random hit. Numerous reports claim the hospital was hit several times, even after notifying both US and Afghan military they had been directly hit after the first bomb went off.

Doctors Without Borders is a volunteer organization that funds medical teams around the world in places where they need emergency life saving care. Within war zones, Doctors Without Borders will save lives, no matter what side of the conflict the patient is on. They are not in the business of taking political stands.

I don't believe anything the United States government tries to say about this incident can justify what happened. Fact of the matter is, the US government has been able to get away with far too much without having to pay any real consequences.

I am angry! I am angry that the US government believes they can justify bombing a hospital. I am angry that my government thinks it can act with impunity all over the world. It is brutal. It is corrupt. I can no longer stand by in silence and allow those who supposedly represent me bomb innocents!

It is time to stand up!!! It is time to speak out!!! It is time express our righteous anger at a system that continues to stomp on the rights of others in its quest for never ending power!!!

In the very wise words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

It is up to us to BE the light. It is up to us to BE the love.

I Am Not Your Enemy

I got together with my mom and sisters last night to celebrate mom's birthday. We decided on dinner and a movie and ended up seeing the Christian movie entitled "War Room". Even though I no longer consider myself Christian, I did take away some valuable understandings based on concepts in the movie.

The most inspirational thought is now the title of this post: I am not your enemy. It came to me from the main plot storyline involving a Christian woman having real life problems. When she complained about her relationship with her husband to an older and wiser Christian woman, the older woman pointed out that the younger woman was fighting against her husband instead of against fighting against all those issues that were driving the couple apart. The husband was not the enemy yet the younger woman was fighting him as though he was.

How many times in this human life do we look at people who are different from us and automatically believe we have to fight against them? We assume who they are and what they believe are wrong because of those differences. Instead of working with them we often point out how they are wrong (aka fighting).

I am not your enemy. Your fellow human is not your enemy. Our common enemies are greed, poverty, disease, war, lust for power. These things and more are what we must overcome, not each other.

None of us are perfect. We are all trying to do the best we can based on what we know. It's time to come together and look at each one as slightly different versions of ourselves.

The world will change for the better when we see each other as friends and begin working together for the common good.

The State Of Us

I have to confess, I was quite shocked that September 2015 came and left without seeing the stock market crash. Between all the wild fluctuations in the markets during the months preceding it and the end of the Jewish Shemitah (which has been a precursor to financial calamity in seasons past), I was convinced those in power were setting us up for another fall they could use to take more of our money. As it did not happen, it seems obvious: the power of those in charge is eroding at a rapid rate.

I see things happening all over the world that indicate change is indeed on the horizon. The fact that Russia's Vladimir Putin has the tenacity to bomb US/ISIS strongholds in Syria speaks volumes about the weakening state of the Bush/Rockefeller faction of the cabal. Also telling is the fact the mainstream media has not been able to suppress stories on how the US bombed a hospital in Afghanistan. There is no doubt the hospital was the target considering it was hit at least five times. At present the best the media can do it try to assign blame to faulty intel.

The question is, what can we expect now? The world financial structure will continue to change. The problem is, it is merely shifting from one set of power crazy people to another. We the People may see some changes that seem to benefit us in the short term (and by short term I mean 10 to 20 years), but they will not continue as long as the same sorts of people are still in charge. These people plan for the long term and are very patient. They are content to retain power by assuring the masses their changes are good. The noose is only tightened when the people are fat and happy (and no longer paying attention).

What can we do to change things? First of all, we need to understand that we all have power that we have chosen to allow those in charge to use. Those in power amuse us with bread and circuses so that we intentionally stop asking questions that change our reality.

It is time for us to ask the questions that will lead us to a world that is good for everyone! For example, how can we re-evaluate money so that our energy expended (our work efforts) and energy received (money earned) are exchanged fairly? There are a lot of people out there who work their fingers to the bone to just survive while a very few at the top work some and have more money than they can use in 100 lifetimes. To me, this particular problem has occurred because those at the top have been allowed to assign unfair values for various sorts of work. The energy they personally expend is considered valuable, while the slave classes energy expenditure is much less worthy.

Envision a world where everyone has what they need. At those times your heart guides you into action (you know this because there is something you can do that will bring you joy), follow up on that. Each time we follow up on guidance from the heart, the whole world gets closer to that vision of an abundant planet.

Changing the planet involves each and every one of us being willing to follow the heart's wisdom. The heart is what will guide us all home!

The Blessing In The Struggle

There are times when I look back at things that happened in my life and think, "This would have made excellent material for a soap opera!" There was the time I spent in a cult, fortunately escaping before the leader got put on death row for killing other cult members. There was the time I lost my firstborn child to a terrible infection shortly after she was born. Then there was my divorce and all the years I spent as a single mom, going through the struggles of raising three kids on my own, two of whom had special needs. Yes, soap opera material for sure!

Even though I make the above statement in a tongue-in-cheek sort of way, I definitely had my share of very real struggles. Oddly enough, I no longer see those experiences as struggles though. I see them as blessings.

Each one of those experiences gave me valuable insights into myself, other people and life. Having to wade through the muck forced me to look for new ways of doing things because my old ways of doing things were not effective in those situations. The effort it took to get through such experiences made me much stronger than I was before.

When I look back at all the experiences of my life--both positive and negative, one thing stands out. The high points always felt good (thrilling even), but their only real value was as respite from the storm. It was the low points where I actually grew, becoming a better, stronger, more capable person.

How you view your struggles is your choice. I choose to see my struggles as opportunities for growth and progress. There are blessings in the struggle when you choose to see them and use them to forge new pathways in your life.

The Power Of Asking Questions

For too many years, I was a good little girl. I followed the rules. I listened to those in authority. I typically looked no farther than the information available in the mainstream. Then I had a daughter who lived outside the box. As she did not fit the mainstream mold, I was forced to look at new information. I began to ask new questions when the mainstream answers I received were not good enough. My heart kept telling me there was more to the story.

My questions led me to new information and then on to more questions. I went from researching topics in the healthcare field to religion and politics, asking questions along the way. The more I questioned, the more information became available to me. I began to realize there was a great deal I was unaware of before, just because I had failed to asked questions in the first place.

Why are questions so powerful? When you put a question out in the Universe, you are signaling to the Universe that you are open to new knowledge. Being open is key to allowing energy to flow in your life.

Think about this: if you believe you have all of the answers, you are not open to new information. After all, you know everything! What else could possibly be learned?

Asking questions opens your life up to new possibilities! Even when you are looking at the same thing you've seen for years, asking questions allows you to change your perspective enough to see something from a different angle. Often the changed perspective shifts what you see so you receive new insights.

Want to change your life? Begin to ask new questions about the things in it. You may just open yourself up enough to allow new blessings to flow in!
