Be Still...

Patience has never been one of my virtues. It seems as though I'm always in a hurry...to use my talents...to become successful...to make something of myself. This morning, I came to understand what my problems of late have truly been about. I expect way too much out of myself, and, when my efforts don't reflect what I believe I should receive in return, I become discouraged.

What I failed to recognize is that I am not the sum total of this equation. It is not my efforts alone that will take me where I desire to go. I have not been trusting God to be there to assist my efforts. I am taking the initiative instead of allowing life to progress in its own time. Frustration is the result.

This morning, I hear the words of God in my heart. "Be still and know that I am God." I understand that, while I may be on the path, the road is a bit longer than I thought. I don't need to hurry myself along. It is time to rest. It is time to reflect. It is time to let go and allow myself to be nurtured on my journey by my constant companion, the great I Am.

Once again, I am comforted and reassured that I am exactly where I need to be and that my life will unfold as it is designed to.

Every Day Is A New Beginning!

My life has definitely not been going as planned. Most days I feel as though my potential is virtually untapped, even though I spend enormous energy attempting to make a difference in the world. Often, I am frustrated when I encounter people who say they want to change the world, but show no evidence of that desire in their actions. Even this blog has suffered of late as it becomes difficult to get my message of connection out to people caught up in separation programming.

As I see the light of dawn peeking through my window this morning, I am again reminded that there is a whole new day in front of me, still unblemished by the often callous and cruel world. I am able to leave the pain of yesterday behind to focus on what I can create in the world today!

Pain is as much of a choice as happiness. Yes, the world can beat me down. That doesn't mean I have to stay there. I can always choose to be thankful for what the pain has taught me and move beyond it.

Today I choose to move beyond the pain. Today I choose to live life to the fullest, building on the lessons I have acquired in this lifetime. My own personal happiness is definitely up to me!

Every day is a new beginning! Allow yourself to let go of the past and create the world you desire to live in!

Just Breathe!

There are so many days I am stressed beyond belief. It seems that one day runs into the next with more things to do than hours in the day to do them. Family and work responsibilities seem to accumulate in a never ending cycle. It is on those occasions when I have no time to myself that I understand taking time for myself is the most important thing I can do! Life becomes much more clear and easier to handle when you all yourself to just breathe and bathe in the spirit of Oneness.

It's a very simple process. Sit back, relax, close your eyes, breathe deep. Picture yourself in a favorite place--the mountains, the beach, sitting next to your favorite tree, etc. Make sure it is a happy place for you. Imagine the sun in your face, the wind whipping past you, the smell of salt water or pine trees. Allow thankfulness to open you up to this energy!

When you feel yourself calm and at peace, begin to count your blessings--whatever those may be. Family, good friends, food on the table, a comfortable home, a loving pet, a stable job, or any other thing you appreciate. Understand the Universe (assisted by your personal angels) is bringing you everything you need when you need it. Everything is right in your world, just as it is intended.

Allow this simple exercise to bring you back to that state of peace where you are able to function at peak performance in your daily life. Taking a few minutes for yourself every day to just breathe will make a world of difference in how your life progresses. You will feel connected, assured there is a plan and a place for you!

The Power Of A Smile

I was a very happy child. More often than not, I greeted the world with a smile on my face. The best part was, that was also how the world greeted me back! I learned very early on that smiling at others almost always brought a smile back to me. The older I got, the more I understood the tremendous power a simple smile holds. There were many occasions where I amazed people around me by eliciting a smile from someone who was known for not smiling!

Our interactions with other people are a form of energy exchange. When we project a positive and cheerful spirit, we most often get that energy back in kind. There are times when we run into people who are not having a good day. A simple smile often has the power to remind them that not everything in the world is gloomy. On those occasions a smile is not reflected back, you have still made the other person question their negative reality. They will ask themselves what it is about you that is different from them!

We could change the entire world in a single day if we all chose to take the time to connect with others in positive ways. Smiles are a great place to start! They indicate acceptance of the energy of others and the desire to care for them unconditionally.

Make the decision to smile at the people you come into contact with today! You might find you change the lives of others in positive ways. Better yet, you may just find your own life will take a turn for the positive!

Taking Responsibility For The Inferno

I will be the first person to tell you it is important to dwell on the positive. I am blessed with a relatively sunny disposition, and it has worked out for me more often than not. If there is one thing I have learned though, sometimes optimism is not enough. When one is confronted by a raging inferno, no amount of optimism is going to put the fire out. That requires resources--water or something else big enough to smother the flames. It is time for us to take responsibility for the inferno raging around us and set it right before it consumes everything--including us.

My trip down the rabbit hole has taught me there is great evil in the world--truly mind-blowing evil. This evil controls the vast resources that make up our planet and uses them to suppress the majority of the population. Because they control the media, most people do not even understand what has happened. While the pain from the oppression continues to wake people up to this reality, we tend to watch this raging inferno from the sidelines, convinced the fire department is on its way. Our programming, through religion and even fairytales, convinces us a savior is coming.

We have waited thousands of years for a savior. We will wait for thousands more if we continue to ignore the fire that is right in front of our faces. It is time to acknowledge this simple truth. We are our own saviors. The fire department does not exist outside of ourselves. The fire department resides in our hearts!

It is time to acknowledge the inferno raging before us. It is time to encircle it with our waterbuckets of truth and continue to pour water on the flames until they are extinguished. It is time to round up the fire starters and take the fuel out of their hands. It is time to charge them with arson, try them, and force them to make amends. The fire cannot be put out until we have taken responsibility for its cause and stopped it.

The inferno will continue to rage until we become its keepers. Let's stop this inferno together!

The Gift Of Brokenness

Brokenness...it is not something we normally desire. The goal in life is to be happy and healthy and productive. When we achieve these things, we believe our lives are in order. When problems occur, we begin to believe we are no longer on our true path.

The thing is, no one's life is perfect. We go through happy and productive times, but there are times when our lives are not so good. We get sick. Loved ones die. We lose jobs and important friendships. Sometimes these things happen all at once and we feel as though our lives are no longer worth living.

It is in our most vulnerable moments the breakthroughs come. At those times, we understand we don't have all the answers and are much more open to new information. New information often brings new ways of doing things and new solutions. It is in brokenness we once again find footing for the journey. It is in brokenness that we find our hope.

As the mystic poet Rumi once said, "The wound is the place the light enters you." Know that your brokenness enables you to be filled with pure light and understanding once again.

The United State's Dark Night Of The Soul

The dark night of the soul is a term often used to describe a sacred life journey where one is confronted by his/her own worst darkness. Experiences vary as each individual is unique, but suffice it to say the trip is always accompanied by pain and fear. It is not easy to battle your demons--especially when the demons come from the inside.

The interesting part of about this journey of the soul is that a person begins the trip believing that the darkness originates outside himself. He/she fights and plots and strategizes and becomes thoroughly overwhelmed by problems that only get worse over time. It is only when the person becomes aware the problems lie within that they begin to tame the darkness. Peace comes with the understanding the monster is part of who we are and must be tamed by the angel in order to successfully overcome it.

The United State is going through its own dark night of the soul. We have come to a point in our history where we can no longer deny our way of life has become detrimental to the vast majority of our people. Darkness is rearing its ugly head as citizens fight about which Presidential candidate has the power to save us. Our problems and fears have definitely come to the surface as we try to face and tame them.

The funny and interesting thing about this process is how convinced we all are that the side we have chosen is superior in every way. Our problems come from the ways others view these same issues. We could not be wrong! We are not responsible for these problems--or so the stories go.

If you are reading this post, this is your wake-up call! The problems in the United States are not here because Bill Clinton's Congress de-regulated the banks (or anything that followed). The problems did not come from bankers working in collusion to bilk the masses of their wealth. The problems didn't come from poor people begging the government for handouts or illegal workers taking American jobs. Our problems were created because of our own laziness and apathy! We sat back and allowed others to take responsibility for what happens in our world and consequently lost control of it! This is how our own darkness is rearing its ugly head. We alone are the ones who have the power to change it.

It is time to recognize where our own inaction and apathy has led us. It is time to take personal responsibility for each and everything we do. It is time to treat others as we wish to be treated! It is time to recognize where the corruption lies and begin to prosecute those responsible so they are also held accountable for their actions. Restitution must be a way of life if we are to right the wrongs that have been committed.

The dark night of the soul is a powerful journey of descent, but the demons you confront in the depths make it possible for you to see the light once again. The United States--even the whole world--is making that journey. Know it cannot get better until we come to terms with the darkness that lies within. Deal with the darkness, and emerge into the light!
