Using Body Cues To Learn Discernment

Did you know your body speaks to you? It does!!! It doesn't speak to you in an all-knowing voice. How then does it "speak"? Your body speaks to you through emotions!!! Emotions are your body’s way of trying to make you aware of new information. The stronger the emotion, the more your body is signaling there is something you need to pay attention to.

First of all, you need to understand our bodies are different. How my body indicates fear or excitement may be different from the way your body signals those things for you. For example, my body senses fear in my stomach area. Yours might indicate fear in your big toe. How do you know what to look for? Look back at those experiences in your life when fear was present. Where in your body did you feel those emotions? The answer to that question will give you some idea of what you personally need to pay attention to.

I'll give you a very personal example of what I am talking about. Years ago when I was in my late teens and early twenties, I was involved in a cult. The leader of this particular group, Jeffrey Lundgren, talked endlessly about all the violence that occurred in the Bible and the Book of Mormon and was training the men involved in the cult how to use firearms, among other things. After my husband and I made plans to leave, Jeff and I had a conversation I will never forget. Jeff told me about his plans to take over the Kirtland Temple by force, having to kill the people who lived around the temple in order to take control. (Yes, it seems deranged, but at the time I was too far brainwashed to see it.)

The thing is, even during that conversation (where my mind had totally lost all sense) my body--my discernment--was still talking to me. When Jeff talked about killing people, my stomach felt all clenched up and tight, and I thought to myself, "Thank God I am not going to be around to see that!!!" My body was talking, my heart was listening, but at that point my mind was far from rational. This is what taught me (eventually, after Jeff really did kill people) that it is far better to listen to your heart than your mind.

Take the time to understand your body's cues. Reflect individually on various emotions. What happened to your body when you felt sadness? What happened to your body when you felt anger? What happened to your body when you felt scared? The answers to these questions and more will give you the information you need to understand what your body is telling you in those critical moments of life.

Your body is an instrument of awareness in a very complicated world. Allow yourself to access the wisdom and heart connection it contains to help you navigate the obstacles of life. It may just be key in helping you learn discernment.

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!

Cats and dogs...the difference is obvious!!!
Don't forget to SMILE!!!

The Power Of Being Present

Take a few minutes to sit back and play! Find a comfortable position. Close your eyes. Focus on taking deep, cleansing breaths where you breathe in peace and happiness and exhale stress and negativity. Feel yourself fully present in your body, in the now.

Take the time to sense your surroundings and the energies that express who or what those things are. The chair. A book. A tree. The air. Can you sense anything else you cannot see or hear or smell or taste or touch? Do you have a hard time staying focused on the present? Does your mind want to wander to the past or future, or does it think about being somewhere else? Allow yourself to ponder these questions for a few minutes.

Understand that your true power lies in your ability to remain present in the now. Every time your mind wanders to the past or the future, every time your mind seeks out a different place where your body is not present, you are sending your energy to that other place. You can dream about change--dream about living in a better world--when your mind wanders. However, when your mind is wandering you have no power to change your present because you are not there.

Take time every day to sit in your body. Allow yourself to be comfortable in your own skin. Feel the heart that beats inside you and ask it for guidance. You are most powerful when you experience everything that is going on around you. True change can only happen when you choose to live each moment in the present.

The true power of being present is that you choose in that moment to claim your power and allow yourself to BE.

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!

The Wizard of Oz summed up in one simple phrase:
Don't forget to SMILE!!!

What Energy Are You?

As this blog is focused on picking up on the subtle, intuitive information you can access in the world around you, I do not often focus on the energies you put out into the world. Today, I feel guided to have you search yourself to discover what lies within.

Just as you have it within yourself to connect to your heart--connect to the Divine--and gain access to the collective wisdom and insight  that is Oneness, you are also a source of information. The energies you carry are conveyed to the world and play actively on it.

At my retail job, there are certain regular customers that my fellow coworkers see come in and quickly run away from. This is because these customers have problems, and this is what they project out into the world. The glass is always half empty. Life is tough. There is never enough sugar to turn the lemons into lemonade. These customers are hard to deal with, so most associates would rather walk away than try to help.

Ask yourself a few hard questions. Are people there when you need them? Do they magically appear when things are going good for you, but when things are rough they are nowhere to be found? How do people treat you? Do you find the world loving and kind or harsh and cold?

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. The world around you is a direct reflection of you. Let me repeat that in a different way. Your world is constantly responding to the energy you put out into the world. Like attracts like. Project your problems onto the world and they will be coming back to you.

Don't like what is happening in the world around you? Change it!!! Each one of us has the ability to change our frequency!!! We can do things for ourselves that raise our energy levels!!! Part of the reason I choose to post something funny every day here on my blog is to remind you to take time out to laugh (or at least SMILE)!!! Laughter is one of the quickest and easiest ways I know to change your energy into something much more positive!!! It relieves stress and tension and helps in so many ways. There are really lots of ways to change your energies in an instant. Listen to music. Dance. Paint. Meditate. Pray. Journal. Play a game with a child. The list is really endless. It just depends on finding something that brings you joy!!!

What energy are you in the world? Understand there is a universal law that what you put out in the world eventually returns to you. Make sure the energy you release is something you want to come back!!!

The Muppets pay tribute to Beethoven as Beaker sings "Ode To Joy"!!!
Don't forget to SMILE!!!

Standing In Your Truth

My spiritual journey has been interesting of late. I have always been strong. Standing alone has never intimidated me. Lately though, I have experienced a slightly different sort of attack energy that I am not altogether used to. It's one designed to break the victim down in obvious ways while making that same victim question their ability to discern truth. (This is why I have written so many posts lately about protecting self.) It is not a place I saw myself going, but it is a good way to grow and learn.

I have a friend who has been living with these sort of attacks for the past several years. During that time, I have seen her confronting these things head on. It has not been an easy journey for her. I have seen many people stop supporting her because they question her judgment. Many times there are truths she knows that she cannot reveal for one reason or another, but she is incredibly strong. She does not back down. She is not afraid to stand in her truth, even when it means standing alone.

The powers that be do not like people like my friend. Such bright and powerful souls are here to shed light on all those dark practices that hold us captive. They know themselves so well they are not afraid to stand in their truth in order to hold the light for others. The darkness loves to attack their support networks in order to weaken them enough to put out that light.

It is time for all of us to raise our frequencies by connecting to our hearts and the truths that reside within. Now more than ever, it is imperative that we reach deep inside and learn to discern the truth from the fiction. The powers that be have been attacking the light for years. They have perfected ways to keep us from knowing the truth so they can keep us from using our own power. You have the power. We all do. We just need to learn how to read things so well that nothing will fool us. When we can do that, we are truly living from the heart.

Sometimes, standing in your truth can be a lonely journey, but have courage! The light you shine today may be just what it takes to push humanity into a new life of freedom, abundance and wholeness.
