Seeing Through The Mind Mentality
I saw a meme online that made me sad. It was a picture of the back of a car window, where people here in the United States like to post stick figures representing their family members. This one had three male figures behind bars, one woman, and around ten kids. While I'm sure the person who developed the meme was joking around, it was getting a good many flippant comments. What made me sad was that is was just so easy for many of my middle class friends to stereotype and judge people they know nothing about. They are viewing life through the perspective of the mind.
The mind's perspective is extremely narrow in scope. It uses the lessons of experience and the five senses to understand what is going on, and it judges accordingly. Making quality decisions is very difficult when all you have is limited understanding.
My intuitive, empathic heart will not let me look at those real-life situations in a way that makes fun of them. When I look at a situation like the one described above I see pain. I see low self esteem. I see people living their lives in the only way they have been taught how. While it is possible for people to pull themselves up from such a place, it is hard to do. It takes a really special person to overcome that level of difficulty.
An empathic heart desires to relieve pain where it is found. It will reach out in ways that help lift others up. The heart will not stop its mission of changing the world for the better, no matter what area of life that is in.
When we allow ourselves to look at the world through the mind, we automatically have problems. The mind categorizes and judges and separates in order to try to make sense of things. The mind will prioritize and place things in a hierarchy, and this becomes our measuring stick of what is "good" or "bad". As long as we see things from the viewpoint of separation, we cannot fix the world's problems. It is separation that created the problems in the first place.
Allow yourself to grow past the mentality of the mind and back into the mentality of the heart. The problems and chaos of the world can only be fixed by drawing on the vast wealth of information that is accessed through the heart. Our very survival depends on it.

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!
Nothing like some well done pranks to leave you laughing!!!
Don't forget to SMILE!!!
Shut Up And DEAL With It!!!
There is no doubt about it. The earth is a big mess. Poverty. Pollution. Disease. Violence and wars. Corrupt politicians and leaders. It's enough to drive you mad if you dwell on it for too long. The thing is, the circumstances of our lives are really our own fault! That's right, I said it! We have no one to blame but ourselves!!!
How can I believe this, you ask? We didn't personally make the decision to pollute our air and water. We didn't ask to have our money taken from us through war, taxation and inflation. We didn't pass the laws that make it easy for our politicians to be corrupted! We come into this world having to deal with all the problems it holds, regardless of whether or not we started them.
And that is just my point!!! We may not have started these problems (although honestly even that could be argued), but there is a definite need for these problems to be dealt with. The thing is, we expect everyone else to deal with them!!! We whine and complain about what happens in the world around us, but then we sit back and lament on how our politicians don't accomplish anything!!! We see hunger and poverty around us, yet we do nothing to see those needs get met!!! We worry about wars, and yet we fail to stop the thinking that created those situations in the first place!!!
Our biggest misstep is we fail to take responsibility for what happens to our planet. We don't even question why the problems happened in the first place. We release ourselves from responsibility by telling ourselves we did not create the problems and don't have the power to change things. This is a lie. We intentionally gave up our power to change things when we decided to play the game.
What is the game? The game involves doing what we've always been programmed to do instead of thinking for ourselves! It involves becoming a good citizen, working hard for a living, using the world's resources as they've been laid out for us to use them. Here in the United States, it means to find a job that pays the bills so we can own a house, drive a car, take a vacation, put food on the table. If we're really doing it well, we're obsessed with buying the latest tablet or cell phone or video game, not to mention designer clothes and purses and all those other things that shout out wealth.
Understand this sort of life has been designed to keep us distracted. Bread and circuses. Give the people those things they can use to distract themselves with so they won't try to change them. It's been a strategy of the "elite" for thousands of years. We relieve ourselves of responsibility by allowing others to do the "hard" work. We have no one to blame but ourselves for the world's problems.
It is time to step back into our own power! Take the time to connect within your heart (to where the answers are). Pray. Meditate. Laugh. Play. Plant a tree. Clean up your neighborhood park. Start an organization to feed the homeless in your community. Run for political office. Do all those things your heart guides you to, because your heart will help you find your place in the world.
It is time to stop whining and complaining!!! YOU have the power to change the world, so shut up and deal with it!!! Stop waiting for a savior!!! The savior is YOU!!!

Living The Law Of Heart
The ultimate law of the Universe is to do no harm to anyone or anything. It trumps all other law and is measuring stick for all the actions we take in life. The thing is, how do we really know if our actions are helpful or harmful? Sometimes, what seems like a bad thing can turn out to be a good thing, and seemingly bad things can end up quite beneficial. How then are we expected to know the difference? It's really a question of how much you live from your heart!!!
We live in a world where we have been taught how to listen to our minds. We gather information through our five senses and use these experiences to judge whether something will hurt or help ourselves or others. We measure these experiences through the standards society gives us, which are better known as rules or laws. We are supposed to trust the laws and rules of society were set in place for the benefit of all, but the reality can be a far cry from true justice. This is where our problems begin. To make it a little more concrete, this law of the mind can be equated to things like Hammurabi's Law or Maritime/Admiralty Law/Uniform Commercial Code (which is what we use here in the United States).
The problem with living through the mind is that laws are not usually one size fits all. What might be needed and necessary for some people will wreak havoc in the lives of others. Justice can be a struggle, especially when those who rule are corrupt.
What they don't tell us is that there is another way to live. There is a way to gather information outside your physical body. It's called intuition and it happens when you are consciously connected to your heart. When we connect to our hearts, we choose to connect ourselves to Oneness, where all the knowledge and wisdom resides. When you live through your heart, you consciously begin to pick up cues from the Universe at large. Very often, your heart leads you towards certain actions that your mind cannot make sense of because of its limited information. Know that is okay and expect it to happen occasionally. If you practice following the guidance that comes from your heart, those actions it advises you to take that do not make sense will begin to make sense later as you see how things magically work out!!!
The transition from living from your mind to living from your heart is not an easy one. Mistakes are made as you learn to distinguish what your heart is telling you from what your mind is telling you. Still, it is a transition worth making!!! The more in tune you are to your heart, the better overall decisions you will make. Your life will reap the benefits connection to Oneness brings!!!
Living the law of heart requires living from your heart! It necessitates a new way of thinking, a new way of doing, a new way of BEing. Ask your heart what it desires! You may just find yourself living in the world of your dreams!!!

The Law Of Mind And The Law Of Heart
I read an article this morning about a speech given by NSA Director, Admiral Mike Rogers, at a cyberwar conference in Estonia. In the speech, he made an interesting statement about the internet needing to be governed by maritime laws. What he seems to be saying is that the internet needs to be regulated like they have regulated everything else--through a specific set of codes (aka laws) that are designed to spell out what we can and cannot do with the internet. (You can read the article here.) This sends off immediate red flags in my heart. Maritime law.
Why does it send off warnings to my heart, you ask? Because there are different types of laws. There are laws governed by the heart. Then there are laws governed by the mind. Maritime law is governed by the mind. It is also the law that enslaves humanity.
Up to now, the laws that have governed the internet have been largely laws of the heart, or Common Law. Common Law the code of self-governance and self-responsibility. In a nutshell, Common Law says to bring no harm to another human or another thing. If someone or something is harmed, restitution must be paid. While I don't believe everything on the internet is pure or "good", I do believe having free access to it has dramatically improved our ability to gather together and exchange information. It is exactly this self-rule on the internet that has made it impossible for the powers that be to keep us in the dark about what they are doing.
Maritime Law was designed for use by (literal) kings in order to control trading between their countries. It is an energetic/monetary system of exchange that has literally enslaved us by taking away our rights to choose the specifics of what we do. The most crappy thing about it is that we have given our consent to being part of this system without even realizing what it involves. We just accept it because we have been taught this is the way things are done.
Do not believe I am advocating going out and breaking Maritime laws (also known as UCC, or Uniform Commercial Code). I am not. People need to take responsibility and follow Common Law so they intentionally live in a way that harms no one or nothing.
Director Rogers was promoting the Trans-Pacific Partnership, or TPP, in his speech. This is supposed to be a trade agreement involving many Pacific nations. It is in process of being fast-tracked through Congress without allowing citizens of the US to actually know what's in it. (Another red flag!!!) It deals a lot with regulating the internet, which is where the Maritime Law comes in. What Rogers is telling us in his speech is that they want to have the ability to control what we can and cannot place on the internet through taxing us, fining us, and imprisoning us if we don't follow their rules. It is also a way for "kings" to make more money by including the internet in their monetary energy system.
Planet Earth is in transition. We are in process of learning to once again think with our hearts--which are connected to the One--instead of with our minds. This trade agreement is one more way the powers that be are trying to enslave us through Maritime Law.
It is time to recognize the differences between the laws that enslave vs. the laws that empower. We are so much more than the system of rules we have consented to. It is no longer necessary to jump through all the little hoops "kings" have set up for us. As we begin connecting to heart, we will understand all those little things we do every day which harm or heal. We will take responsibility for what we do and begin to govern ourselves!
The difference between the law of the mind and the law of the heart will ultimately lead to our freedom!!!

If You Really Knew Me
If you really knew me
It would not matter that my skin was white
Or black
Or brown
Or yellow
Or red
Or pink
Or blue with green polka dots.
If you really knew me
It would not matter that I drive a Mercedes-Benz
Or a beat up pickup truck with no air conditioning or radio.
You wouldn’t care if my home was a mansion
Or the alley behind the post office.
You would not care about the tattoos all over my body
Or the crew cut haircut I love to wear.
If you really knew me
It would not matter that I spoke English
Or Japanese
Or Hindi
Or Spanish
Or Swahili.
If you really knew me
You would not care that I was lazy,
Or an atheist,
Slept around,
Cheated on my taxes,
Stripped for a living,
Or shot up heroin.
You would not even care if I was a fundamentalist Christian
Or a radical Muslim.
If you really knew me
You would understand that the anger and rage I take out on you
Is not about you.
It’s about me—my experiences,
My traumas,
My pains,
Being expressed in the only way I know how.
If you really knew me
You would acknowledge me for who I am—
A being full of light,
And love,
And joy!
You would see my perfection
And would not seek to change me
Or control me.
You would know my life journey is about
My own personal growth and evolution.
You would honor me,
Just as I honor you,
If you really knew me.

Your Intuition And The Choices Of Others
I read a thought-provoking article this morning about how to talk to women without children, and it made me think about all the judgments we carry that make articles like this necessary. Why is it that we need counseling about what is or is not appropriate in our treatment of others who are different from ourselves? It's because we live through our "rational" minds instead of our hearts!
Let's look at childless women. Here in the US, most of us just expect to grow up, marry, and raise a family. When someone doesn't fit into that mold we don't know how to handle the situation. We usually have a little more sympathy for someone who has tried to conceive a child but cannot (still not a good situation because we over-pity them and don't focus on what is good in their lives). However, for those who make the choice to focus on a career or something else, we automatically assume they are selfish lowlifes who are not nice people!!!
I have much to say on this topic--mainly because I worked for many years as a daycare teacher and have seen both sides of this issue from the perspective of the child and the childcare worker. I know some incredibly brilliant parents--several of whom planned not to become parents and then accidentally became pregnant. I also know some lousy parents who wanted lots of children and couldn't handle the ones they had. I appreciate people who understand what good parenting entails and choose not to have children to focus on other things. They know themselves and their hearts and are trying to follow that guidance.
Understand this. If you are standing back judging someone else, you are not following your heart!!! Your heart is the place of connection! Every time you sit in judgment of someone or something you are choosing separation!!! Your heart is the place of love! It is the place of forgiveness! It is the place of acceptance! It is the place of peace! Following your heart leads you to places of empowerment for yourself and others.
If you are following your intuition by tuning into your heart, you are really not focused on the choices of others (things you cannot control). You are focused on how to help. You are focused on how to encourage. You are focused on the things you personally can do to make a difference!
Listen to the wisdom and guidance of your own heart!!! You will live every day in the brilliance and magic that is you!!!

Intuition Made Me a Conspiracy Theorist!
Have you ever watched the evening news and thought, "Something is not right here! The facts are not adding up!!!"? Stuff like this happens to us all the time, and yet we ignore the thoughts and try to forget about them. Why? Because it is not okay to be different. It is much easier to follow the "rules" and blend in. I have never been afraid of being different, so in some respects it has been a little easier for me to go against the grain.
My turn to the "dark" side (and yes, that is tongue-in-cheek) came with problems I had with my daughter. By the time she had reached middle school she was angry and depressed and quite difficult to deal with. I searched everywhere for answers: teachers and school counselors, social workers and psychologists. I finally took her to a psychiatrist who diagnosed her with ADHD. While I could see she did have some symptoms, I also knew there was something more going on. I had worked as a residence counselor with emotionally disturbed children for several years as well as many more years working as a preschool teacher. I know ADHD. You can reason with those children, even when they're angry. You could not reason with my daughter when she was angry. If you continued to talk about what upset her she would continue to get more and more angry and would not stop. The only way I could get her out of the anger was to distract her with a totally random subject.
At this point, I need to step in and say that my "knowing" it was not just ADHD was largely my intuition talking to me. I just didn't recognize that's what is was at the time. I never analyzed my intuition when I was using it back then.
Finally in desperation, I asked God what was wrong with her. I heard the word "bipolar" in my head. My first thought was, "I have a bachelor's degree in psychology! This is not what I was taught bipolar is!" However, when I went home that night and began to research bipolar disorder on my computer, I found out that it manifests much differently in children than it does in adults. The anger was a very common manifestation in children, as well as the fact that the mania and depression can cycle through in children three or four times a day as opposed to weeks or months of one or the other in adults.
I began to research what could be done for bipolar disorder, and the answers I found were not good. All the science-based accepted views were that bipolar disorder could not be cured and people needed to spend the rest of their lives on medication! Still, again my intuition popped back up, telling me this was not true!!! I began to do more research into alternative treatments and included prayer in the mix to help guide me to more answers. This lead me to a new friend at work with an autistic/ADHD daughter and the book "Enzymes: Go With Your Gut" by Karen DeFelise. Even though my daughter is not autistic, she does have some symptoms in common with autistic people that made me understand digestion plays a key role in mental health!!! She had digestive problems from the time she was a very small child.
It was at this point that I stopped and looked back at my life. If so much information was being left out of mainstream science in this area, what else was missing? I began to question everything! As I asked more and more questions (and came up with even more questions), I started to understand the world was not as it appeared at first glance. There was missing information everywhere!!! My new life had begun.
It's been a good many years since that first struggle with my daughter's health, yet I wouldn't change it if I could. I have learned so much and met some really wonderful and fascinating people along the way. Even though I still see many problems in the world, I am much more aware of them and can actively work on ways to fix them.
That's why I feel so strongly about helping people tap into their own intuitions. I honestly believe that by helping people connect to their hearts and the wisdom of the One, I can help change the planet for the good of all, one person at at time.
Yes, I am a conspiracy theorist, and yes, my intuition helped me get there. I feel I am much more complete and aware. I wouldn't change a thing!!!

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!
This wedding speech by the brother of the bride is probably one of the funniest I've ever seen!!! Enjoy!!!
Don't forget to SMILE!!!
You Are Enough!!!
There are many days in life where we all feel very inadequate. We fail, repeating mistake after mistake after mistake, only to wake up wishing we could be better--more perfect. After all, isn't the ultimate goal in life perfection?
Society teaches us that we need to be perfect. We are held to the standards of legends like Jesus and the Buddha, and when we don't perform we beat ourselves up over and over again. We fell down here. We should have done better there. We could have handled this better. And on and on and on it goes.
Perfection is not realistic, nor is it designed to be. It is meant to be a control mechanism. What passes for perfection in one society may be reviled in another. Our standards of perfection have everything to do with how our "masters" desire us to behave so they can control the population as they see fit. When we don't perform to these standards, they have an excuse to keep us down and sometimes even imprison us. Control is what it's all about.
In this human experience, mistakes have one really big advantage. We learn from them! When I look back at past mistakes, I went through some really horrible experiences. I could have avoided a lot of pain and hardship by making different choices. At the same time, I also see a lot of growth. In every instance I learned something truly valuable and remarkable that has served me well in later stages of life. And I have always managed to pick myself back up, no matter how far I fell. Understand that if you are reading this, you too have managed to pick yourself back up, at least one more time than you have fallen.
There are so many things in life that knock us down and make us feel inadequate. The fact of the matter is, none of that matters. We all make mistakes. There will continue to be times when we struggle with our flaws. Take the time to remember we are all flawed. It's part of our human experience. We are not here to be perfect. We are here to learn and grow. It has never been about changing the world. It has always been about changing ourselves.
Don't believe me? Forget about asking your head. It will always remind you of past mistakes. Ask your heart. Your heart will show you what you have done and how far you have come. Your heart is what connects to the wisdom of the Universe. It knows the part you play in the grand scheme of things and rejoices in you! You are a valuable piece of the puzzle. You are enough!!!

BEing Unconditional Love In the World
I've been blessed in my life to know unconditional love. Many of my earliest memories involve people and events where love was given freely and without limits. I have also been given opportunities to be around people who have not had that same experience. Even though the contrast is great, it is possible to bridge this great divide and help to heal all those who are bruised and broken from life. It requires BEing love--BEing that frequency. The question is, how do you BEcome unconditional love?
Here are the tips and tools I use to BE unconditional love in the world:
Here are the tips and tools I use to BE unconditional love in the world:
- Find someone who is unconditional love to you and BE that energy! Think back to any person or being that has given you unconditional love. It might be a family member, a close friend, a teacher or an animal. It might be someone you know through spiritual experience, like Jesus. Even though I have quite a few personal examples, I usually choose to carry around Jesus because his energy to me is pure love. At any moment, I can ask for him to be there with me and he is. I then bask in the presence of that love until I too resonate that same love energy.
- When people you encounter lash out with negative energy, remember to ask your heart what is causing them pain. Pain is almost always behind negative energies. Sometimes the pain may be caused by being abused by many different people over time, and the person is attempting to keep themselves from further harm by acting aggressively. Sometimes the person is in real physical pain and just has a hard time being nice. When you take the time to ask Source what is causing the pain, you can begin to see where the negativity comes from and are better able to BE love to that same person, regardless of whether or not they are nice to you.
- Visualize yourself as the frequency of unconditional love and ask your body what that looks like. It may show up on your face as a smile. It may show up as a helping hand. It's probably going to look and feel relaxed and easy-going, but unconditional love is also extremely powerful. Unconditional love is not afraid to experience the pain of others because it is strong enough to transform that pain.
BEing unconditional love has the power to change the world around you. With a little bit of practice and intention, you too can be a healing force in a broken and dying world. Dare to BE unconditional love!!!

Finding Mission
A few years back, I became aware that I needed to prepare my life for something new. My youngest son was beginning his junior year of high school, and I knew that my job as full-time mom would be ending in the near future. While I would always be mom, my kids were becoming adults with their own lives and their own missions. Trying to mother them at that point would be more like smothering them. I began to question my heart about what I could do with the rest of my life.
Discovering mission can be a process. You start by asking questions. What are my options? What are my talents? Where does my heart want to go? Is there something I can do that would fulfill me and make me happy?
For me, part of my answers came from my past. I've always been attracted to spiritual topics. I loved listening to my father discuss scriptures and various religious topics from the time I was young. I have an avid interest in history, which led me to becoming a tour guide at some church historic sites (by far the best job I've ever had) when I was in college.
Something else that influences me is my empathic nature. As someone who feels everyone else's feelings, I am always attempting to help unhappy people feel better. This led me to volunteering at a camp for abused and neglected children when I was in high school and working with emotionally disturbed children in a group home after obtaining a BA in psychology.
One last thing that speaks to me is writing. I have always been a big reader, so I love the written word. Being able to put my thoughts and feelings into written words has been a way for me to contribute some of my deeper beliefs with others. Blogging has been my way to get these thoughts out into the world.
Working with a coach who asked the right questions helped me put it all together, although the real key is to begin focusing on your heart. By asking your heart where it wants to go, you begin to feel the pull of certain activities. It reminds me of the old childhood game "Hot or Cold?" When you get closer to what your heart wants, you begin to feel happier (hot). When you lose your heart focus and pull away from what it wants, you begin to feel depressed (cold).
Finding mission is a matter of tuning in to what your heart wants. Your heart is connected to the wisdom of the Universe. It knows your gifts and talents and what your true calling is. Connect within and you will never be separate from your purpose. You will BEcome, and that's what mission is all about!!!

Living The Lie
We live in a fake world. Fake fashion. Fake food. Fake medicine. Fake money. Fake news. Fake wars. Fake terrorists. There is evidence everywhere that nothing is real, and yet we accept these fakes as facts. We are so caught up in our programming we would rather live the lie than wake up and fix our core problems.
Look at the financial world. The BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) have started up their own financial bank. That much is in the news, although greatly downplayed. The incredible part about it is, it has absolutely nothing to do with the banking game most of the world has played for years. It is a free and separate entity, not having to play by the rules of the New World Order agenda. The fake news promotes the idea that "big" players in the game, like Christine Lagarde of the IMF (International Monetary Fund) are supporting the development of this bank. Truth of the matter is, the western monetary system is on the brink of collapse (aka bankruptcy) and she has no choice in the matter if she wants to retain even a little of her power. What makes the BRICS start-up bank so powerful is the fact that the money they are putting up is backed by gold--not the fiat (created out of thin air) money of the west.
Think I'm the one in the dark? Piece together the evidence available. Watch Greece. Greeks have been fed up with their involvement in the European Union for quite some time. Austerity has become so bad the people have rebelled and voted in a government that will stop paying the "debt" and free Greece from their banking masters at the IMF. The problem with Greece not paying the debt is that with that source of income gone, the other EU countries will also tumble. At the end will be the fall of the US dollar, still temporarily the world's trading currency (although have you noticed all the countries that are making agreements between themselves to use their own currencies for trade?).
The irony of these little bits and pieces of truth floating around is, our intuition picks up on all these separate details and puts them together for us, "Warning! Danger! The facts do not add up!!!" Yet here we are. Living the lie!!!
We live in a world that ignores what is real for a program/agenda that keeps us enslaved. Isn't it time to wake up and end the madness? Make the conscious choice to stop living the lie. You may end up as part of the solution!!!

Nature Spirits
When I am out walking in the woods, the local nature spirits talk to me. I do not see them with my physical eyes, although sometimes I am given visions of what they look like in my head. These are different and separate from the plants themselves. They are more like caretakers of all things natural. Sometimes the plants and trees they take care of are young and robust. At other times they watch over the processes of plant death and all that entails--decay, reclamation and renewal of the soil. Some nature spirits are associated with the soil or minerals of the earth, water and even air. Yes, this seems to be the stuff of fairytales and dreams, but I do believe there is much more to these energies than most of us are willing to recognize in this modern world.
I allowed myself to tune in to them several years back on suggestion from an intuitive friend. It's difficult to begin feeling the energies of things you have been told are the stuff of fairytales and dreams. It can be a scary thing to admit you believe in these types of energies because people in this modern world are likely to call you crazy. Still, I've experienced enough I believe there is something to them.
One of the first nature energies I sensed was a more female energy that presides over a tree that stands in my yard. It is an older pine tree that has seen better days and is more on the dying end of its life. She told me her name was Astra, and her energy was much more calm and serene than some of the others I felt. I usually communicate with her when I'm in my yard, although I have known her to venture out and show up at different places. There was one time when I decided to go walking in one of my favorite local parks and she showed up. From where I parked my car you can walk in two different directions. This particular day I wasn't sure which way I should go and asked the Universe for help deciding. All of a sudden, I felt Astra there, pointing to one particular direction. When I chose to follow that path, I felt her excitement at my choice--sort of like there was something she really wanted me to see. I didn't want to take that path as I couldn't go more than a mile because they had closed that part of the trail down for repairs. When I finally got to where they closed down the trail, I understood why Astra had wanted me to go that way. They had re-opened the trail!!! I would not have known if Astra had not encouraged me to make that choice.
Understand that true nature spirits have jobs to do. They contribute to the health and growth of the natural world. They will talk to you if you allow it, but they are more concerned with helping to take care of Mother Earth and have no interest in using or harming you. If your intuition helps you sense them, acknowledge their presence. They may just have some interesting information to show you!!!

What I Learned From Growing Up Christian
As I take my journey toward living more and more through the heart, I am noticing some interesting and amazing things. Lately, I have felt myself drawn back to my Christian upbringing in very powerful ways. Many of my recent posts have discussed recognizing and overcoming darkness as I have felt the need to draw on strength not part of my separate self. Many of these understandings came to my awareness through my religious background. At the same time, I find myself attracted to many of the emotional (and heart-based) experiences I had within the context of church. I find myself missing those feelings and long to experience them again. What is it about those memories that draw me back?
The first thing that comes to mind is unconditional love. For me, Jesus is one of those beings that has shown me how important I am to the whole picture. When I am in the presence of Jesus (or other beings with that same unconditional love), I feel whole. There is no brokenness, no emptiness. Everything I am is valued and appreciated as if I were the only thing in the world that mattered.
The second thing that comes to mind is being able to trust completely. I didn't have to worry about having money to pay my bills or not having a mission or purpose in life. There was a plan, and when I trusted this fact things seemed to work out for the best--even when they didn't appear good in the short term. When I trust and follow that wisdom of the heart, my life just seems to work at better than it does when I use my mind to plan it.
Somewhere along the road I have forgotten to follow the guidance of my heart, which is something I did every day when I was having my "Christian" experience. When you are in flow and following the wisdom and guidance of your heart there is an innate knowing that you are being looked after, cared for. You are loved for who you are, and there is a plan for your life that is not separate from you but is you!!! Such deep unconditional love and unwavering trust allow you to immerse yourself totally in the guidance of the heart, without having to question it.
My Christian experience allowed me to connect to Oneness through my heart and live through that place. I felt loved, cared for and appreciated as I trusted that God always had my back. May I once again allow those understandings to take me back to the place of flow, back to the place of trust, back to the place of peace.

Slavery Through Consent
Did you know we are all slaves? We may not live behind prison walls. We may not wear physical chains. Still, we are all slaves of one form or another, and the reason we remain slaves is because we consent to it.
Take our money system here in the United States. We take out loans to pay for cars and homes and educations and other stuff we believe we need. There is always interest attached to these loans. We think nothing of this interest, yet if you take a closer you will see something intriguing. This interest is backed by money that is numbers on a computer screen and is backed by nothing. The banks don't actually have the money. It's created through the computer magic and sleight of hand that is fractional-reserve lending. In a nutshell, banks create more money based on a percentage of the loans they have already given out. We believe the interest we pay the bank is for them allowing us to use money they have acquired through other loans. Not so. The thing that makes this practice so bad is that most of us work ourselves into the grave trying to pay back loans that are based on nothing. Definitely a form of slavery, and we consent to it (without understanding the process).
Let's take a look at the Federal Reserve Bank. We believe this is a government institution. After all, Congress makes a big show of calling the Fed chairman in for questioning about its practices, not to mention "approves" choices for who the chairman actually becomes. Funny thing is, if you try to look up the Federal Reserve Bank in the government pages (blue section) of a phone book it is not there. That's because it is not part of the government. It is a business and will be found in the same part of the phone book as Fed Ex. Our "government" takes out loans from the Federal Reserve Bank to meet its debts. Just so you're aware, this money is just as fake as the money the banks loan us. It has not been backed by gold or any other resource for decades. Banks and governments need more money? No problem! We'll just print a few trillion more to bolster the economy (which deflates the value of the dollar). You might want to take a good look at the Constitution. The treasury department is supposed to be in charge of money creation. How did a bank receive the power to do this?
This stuff really only cracks the surface, but hopefully you understand that we are being duped in a very big way, and it all leads us to follow a system that is does not have our best interests at heart. It is a system that traps us in jobs we do not enjoy to pay interest on money that does not exist to a
"government" institution that has absolutely nothing to do with the government but does make money for its (secret) stockholders.
We are slaves to the system because we consent to practices we believe we understand but really don't. Isn't it time to question those we have given authority over us? Maybe these questions will lead us to the answers we need to solve the great problems we now face as a planet! In such a system, knowledge is key to ending our slavery and gaining our true freedom!!!

Don't forget to SMILE!!!
Reducing Drama
Ever notice how certain people you run across leave nothing but drama? Everything in life is always wrong, other people are always out to get them, molehills are always mountains, etc., etc.!!! Hanging out with drama queens can feel like being on a never-ending hamster wheel. You keep working harder and harder to help them and get absolutely nowhere. There are steps you can take to minimize the energy they steal from you (and, yes, they are energy vampires)!!!
- Cut ties with all those who are not integral parts of your life! If it is not a close friend or family member or someone you have to work with at your job, don't give them time. Yes, sometimes you want to help them but it can be a losing battle if they like the drama (and don't really want the help). Ask your heart if you have the ability to help them or if they are just trying to suck you in to feed off your energy. Your heart will tell you. Even when I cut someone loose, I send them off with love, asking the Universe for blessings to follow them.
- Learn when to engage and when not to engage. Some of us can be codependent on the drama--we just don't know what life would be like without the drama and so we encourage it by "trying to help". The fact of the matter is, the only person who can decide to stop the drama is the person creating it. If you allow them to solve their own problems, they are more likely to understand they are truly the ones with the power and only they have the power to change their circumstances.
- Even when it feels as though you are in the middle of someone else's storm, you have the ability to take care of yourself. When something feels too difficult, your body/intuition is trying to tell you to take a step back. Listen to it!!! Meditate, drink a glass of water, take a few deep breaths. Ask for the protection of your guardian angels or envision a protective light around yourself to keep you safe and your energy intact.
- Also know you can call on divine, energetic help for the person and the situation they are involved in. Ask for their guardian angels to step in or envision a healing, protective light around the person and the situation. Understand that even if it is not your problem to solve, it is in your power to call on divine help and guidance. Place that burden on Oneness, where it belongs.
It is possible to reduce the drama that comes into your life. You will feel much more grounded and able to meet your own challenges when you can consistently maintain your own higher vibration in the midst of the storm. The storm always passes. Use the storms to gain strength and become an even better you!!!

The Revolution Is Spiritual!!!
The world we live in is severely troubled. A few people at the top of the food chain have more than they could possibly use over the course of thousands of lifetimes. The ones who are unfortunate enough to be on the bottom of the food chain live lives of desperation. Even those of us on the middle rungs struggle to make ends meet as there is often more month than paycheck. Here in the United States, we proudly proclaim our freedom while the chains of mortgages, loans, and jobs hang constantly over our heads. Deep down, we all know something is wrong and yet we can't agree on the solutions to fix it.
In the past, we have relied on violence to solve such problems--at least we have always believed that to be the case. After all, human beings are competitive and must fight to survive!!! Revolutions have pretty much always been bloody and costly. The word revolution brings up the idea of physical war and bloodshed for most people. The question is, what is the long term result of violent revolution? Overall, loss. Loss of life. Loss of resources. Loss of power for the side that loses.
Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and expecting different results. If we really want to change the system to benefit ourselves and others, does violence make sense? Violent change hasn't lasted over the long term. Won't we end up with the same results? (Loss, loss and more loss!!!)
The revolution we require is a spiritual revolution! We need to overthrow the establishment, not with violence, but with thought! We need to begin asking questions that will help us see things from new perspectives and begin working within those new parameters! We need to seek out what is unknown and bring it into consciousness. We need to expose the truth and use this transparency to create a world where everyone has enough, IS enough!
We need to break the chains of our slavery through setting our intention and removing our consent. The chains that bind most of us in this world are spiritual chains, but they are still a means of keeping us under control and enslaved.
The revolution is spiritual. The change that is required is a change of heart and mind. Our weapons are truth and love. Unless we come to terms with this, we will continue to kill each other until no one is left standing.

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!
Gluten intolerant (or know someone who is)? Here's a few funny pointers designed to leave you laughing!!!
Don't forget to SMILE!!!
The Importance of Consent
There is a sort of magic we use every day without necessarily being aware that's what it is. It deals with the concept of consent, or giving permission for things to take place in your life. The reason consent is so important is that nothing can take place in our lives unless we make the decision to allow it.
Understand that I am not just talking Law of Attraction type principles. While I believe there are some truths in the Law of Attraction, this New Age belief can be a bit misleading because it makes you responsible for everything that happens to you in life. Sometimes bad things occur, but it isn't because you're dwelling on the bad things or "attracting" them into your life. It is because you have given your consent to allow them to happen.
Consent may be given in a couple of different ways. The first way is by actively seeking out something new for your life and giving permission for it to happen. The second form of consent involves being presented with a choice by something outside yourself and giving permission. The problem with this second form of consent is that the choice you are given may be delivered in a way that can be misleading. You may believe you know the in-and-outs of the choice you are making, but in reality you only know half truths and are basing important decisions on that limited knowledge.
Understand there are beings out there, both on this physical plane and in more spiritual ones, that use deception to get you to consent to things that harm your soul or the souls of others. These deceptive beings understand they need your permission for things to take place in your life. They also know you will never agree to them with all the facts laid out before you. Therefore, they disclose just enough information for you to know you are agreeing to something without understanding all the consequences of the choice you are making.
Blocks are a form of consent where you consent to terms that may not really agree with your soul plan and what you desire to accomplish in life. Your awareness is such that you know the direction you want to move in, but because of consent you are not allowed to go there. Quite often, this consent has been given in other lifetimes of which you are not aware, but the consent contract is still binding.
Also know it is within your power to withdraw your consent at any time!!! At those times when you recognize your blocks or just understand that the consent you have given is not helpful to your life, you are allowed to change your mind!!! Consciously withdrawing your consent instantly allows your soul to progress into the place you desire to go.
The consent you give has the power to grant your freedom or retain your bondage. Choose to seek out that conscious knowledge that will allow you to give the consent that leads to your freedom!!!

The Most Powerful Tool In Your Spiritual Toolbox
Spiritual battles are being fought all around me right now. It's almost as though someone has cranked up the volume on the stereo to full blast, effecting everyone within hearing distance (which seems to be pretty much everyone worldwide right now). Everywhere I turn, people are having some major struggle or another. It's important--now more than ever--to assess the tools we have at our disposal to help us remain strong and upright at this time a great upheaval.
Last night as I looked at the problems going on all around me, I felt the very strong need to once again ask for spiritual protection (seems I've been doing a lot of that lately). Jesus is my particular go-to guy when I need special help because I have known him my whole life and he has always been there for me. I asked him and the archangels to surround me with all the protection I needed to meet the challenges of the day.
I felt Jesus very close as words formed in my head. "We are always here when you need us and you ask. Understand that nothing can get to you with us here." All at once I was overwhelmed with the love he has for me and has always had for me. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I felt the immense power of love emanating from my protectors.
And that's when it hit me. Love is the most powerful protection of all!!! When there is pure, unconditional love, nothing bad can harm you. The vibration of love is so high everything that comes into its presence is transformed. Love cannot be stopped!!!
Are you carrying the power of unconditional love in your spiritual toolbox? Are you allowing it to surround you and envelop you in its lovely strength? The more familiar you become with the power and the presence of love, the more you BEcome love. You have the ability to transform all those negatives in your life into positives.
Know that the most powerful tool you can ever have is with you at all times. You just need to remember to use it!!!

Spiritual Battle
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. ~Ephesians 6;12 (NIV)Not everything can be seen with the eyes or heard with the ears. This is why developing intuition is so important. The most important battles are the ones that take place at the levels of your mental capacity, your emotions and your spirituality, and for those you need to develop the gifts of the heart.
We all encounter energies in other people and situations that feel very wrong to us--that just don't sit right on our hearts. Very often, our minds do not know what to make of this information and ignore it until something bad has occurred. When these feelings of anxiety occur, know that we all have the power to effect the energies of the situation, regardless of whether or not it has already become a problem.
Questions are an important part of the process. What is going on here? Is the relationship harmful or helpful? Will following through with this action keep me happy and safe or will it result in problems? Who does this effect? What will keep me or the other person safe? Once you have established exactly what is going on, you are better able to fix what is wrong.
Situations we become aware of that involve mainly ourselves are pretty easy to deal with. We can directly change our actions and the ways in which we think and feel to change the energies of the situation. We can also ask for extra protection as well as guidance to navigate our interactions with the others involved. Asking for spiritual help is important because there are always energies that effect what happens in the physical. It is as easy as calling on your guardian angels or envisioning yourself encased in a protective circle of light as you take action to deal with the situation at hand.
There will be times when the situations that come up will involve people we are close to, and those situations become tricky as we cannot force others to do what we believe will benefit them. They have to come to those conclusions on their own in order to effect true positive change.
These are the times the spiritual battle becomes intense. Allow your heart to be your guide. Call upon all the hosts of heaven for protection: ask for all the help that is needed. Ask for situations to occur that will show your loved one exactly what problems and traps are likely to come up so they see the importance of changing their behavior. Ask for earthly angels to appear in their lives--people your loved one can look up to for help, guidance and answers.
You can also send your own infinite supply of heart energy to the situation. I often envision a literal ball of energy being sent from myself to the person in need. Understand that your own connection to heart and to Oneness are what you draw this unlimited power supply from. This energy does not deplete because it is part of an eternal cycle of giving and receiving. When you send this sort of energy, you are sending it intentionally in a particular direction. It does not change the actual cycle.
Problems are an indication that something is not quite right on the spiritual plane. There are times in our lives when we all must fight spiritual battles in order to finally overcome those situations we endure. Understand you have tools and power to fight and defend yourself and others in the spiritual realms.
Spiritual battles are real. Use the spiritual tools at your disposal to overcome them.

When Intuition Shouts
There are times when intuition is so strong you cannot ignore it. I recently had one of those days. I was contacted by a friend, asking questions about subjects I am extremely familiar with. The problem is, the information is quite sensitive. I'm questioning why this person chose me to ask. We are not close, but somehow they honed in on the idea I might have information on the subject. As I do not put related information out in public, it just makes me question.
And that is the point!!! Questions, questions and more questions!!! My intuition was not allowing me to drop the subject without closer investigation!!! My intuition was shouting, "Warning! Danger ahead!!!" It was coming in so loud and clear that I could not shake it (nor did I really want to). In my experience, these especially clear messages should not be ignored.
When something is extremely important for you to understand, your intuition will do everything in its power to grab your attention. In my auditory world, it feels like someone is shouting at me until I begin to investigate. When I start to pay attention and ask questions, the warnings subside and it returns to the calm quiet of exploration.
Intuition speaks at all times. The thing is, the messages may be softer or louder depending on how much impact they are going to have on your life. When the information is so loud it appears to be shouting at you (or like a flashing billboard or like a strong feeling of doom), understand that information will have all sorts of consequences on your life. Those are the times to be cautious in your actions. Ask your heart how to proceed.
Paying attention to your intuition when it shouts at you will save you from many of the dangers that come up in life. Don't ignore it!!!

Exploring the Unknown
Yesterday I was taken out for a belated Mother's Day treat by my youngest son. I always enjoy his company because he is an independent, outside-the-box thinker. He also knows me well and understands the things I like so he planned this little adventure based on what he thought I would enjoy. He did not disappoint! He knows I enjoy walking, so he took me on a finished piece of the Atlanta BeltLine, a reclaimed bit of space that used to serve as a railroad line that surrounded Atlanta but is now being restored to allow walking and biking through the city.
Exploring the city is not something I would do on my own typically. I am a country girl at heart. I love the trees, plants, open space. Being empathic, I have a tendency to avoid crowds because that can be cause for emotional overload. Still, there are aspects of the city that are interesting, holding a special beauty all their own. I enjoy new perspectives.
There were quite a lot of metal sculptures and professional murals along the BeltLine. The murals were in vivid colors and felt mostly celebratory, representing many different cultures. The sculptures covered a vast range of subjects, including faces, emotions, and even King Kong on the Eiffel Tower. Spread among it all were areas of land that were being reclaimed (intentionally) by nature. Trees, native grasses and flowers shared this urban landscape.
Once we got to the end of that section of the BeltLine we explored Piedmont Park and the midtown area of Atlanta. This was vastly different. Very urban and polished. It was a nice contrast to my everyday life.
A few things stood out as we walked through the city on this little adventure. The energies of the homeless people got to me. I'm not typically in areas where homeless people congregate. As I passed more and more of them, a new awareness hit me, I began to sense their presence before my eyes ever saw them. It's a strange feeling for someone who has spent the vast majority of my life ignoring the intuitive information I received. The regular Joes walking down the street did not catch my attention often as I am used to that sort of energy. These were the usual business people walking home from work or getting a quick bite to eat.
The thing about exploring the unknown is you don't really have to go anywhere special to do it. The only thing required is actually listening to the intuitive information you can pick up from whatever location you may be in. If you are too comfortable in one place, it is easy to ignore the information that comes your way. Intentionally putting yourself in a place you don't normally explore will give you enough of a contrast to begin understanding the sorts of information you do receive on a daily basis.
Dare to explore the unknown! What you learn about yourself and the world may just surprise you!!!

In The Presence Of Love
There's a song by a Christian musician named Don Moen that speaks to me every time I hear it. It's called "I Just Want To Be Where You Are" and it's a song about being in the presence of God.
It's really a very simple song, but it says exactly what my heart always says. I have been in the presence of God--in the great presence of unconditional love, and I honestly do want to be there. All. The. Time. That is not always an easy task.
What is it about being in the presence of unconditional love that makes it so appealing? Unconditional love is definitely one of the higher vibrating frequencies. It does not judge, so it includes everyone and everything--even those things we find most disagreeable. Unconditional love does not require you to jump through any special hoops for approval. You receive unconditional love without having to be "deserving". As possessors of darkness, being in a place where our flaws are overlooked is a good place to be.
I have a relationship with Jesus. I can remember myself going to him with my problems and concerns from a very early age. I could see/imagine each of these conversations in my head to the point they were real (and still are). The thing about Jesus is, he has always been there for me with unconditional love. As an interdimensional being, Jesus is one that has the ability to be there for anyone who seeks him out.
Many people love animals because of the unconditional love animals give them. Animals don't care if you're ugly or fat. They don't care if you are in a good mood all the time. Animals don't care about the house you live in or the car you drive. They are just happy to be with you.
Sometimes other people in our lives provide us with this unconditional love. It might be a mother or father, grandparent or sibling. It could be a teacher at school or your soccer coach. Those people who see something special in us that show us how much we are truly worth are those we are attracted to because of that unconditional love.
Take a few moments now to sit and remember who those beings are in our lives. Even if they have passed on in this lifetime, that energy is still present. Close your eyes and imagine being in their presence once again. Fact of the matter is, when you imagine being in their presence to the point where you begin to remember and feel that energy, they are magically with you once again. And you are once again in the presence of unconditional love.
Take the time to remember unconditional love every day. The more often you bask in that presence, the more likely you are to take on that frequency of unconditional love yourself. You can BE unconditional love in the world!!!
If everyone in the world was unconditional love, what an amazing world that would be!!!

The Gifts We Receive From Our Mothers
From the moment our spirits materialize into physical form in our mothers' wombs, we become intimately connected to that part of us that is the divine feminine. Sometimes that womb experience is the only experience we have with our biological mothers as other people step in to take on the role of mother. Mothers are all those who take a hand in nurturing us, protecting us, and raising us as we grow (whether female or male). What is it that makes "mothering" such a valuable part of our life process?
The divine feminine part of ourselves is the place of heart--that intuitive, all-knowing, "connected" place. It is the place that hears all, sees all, feels all, knows all (even when we choose to overlook the information). The divine feminine is intimately connected to our emotions and derives its strength and power from that place. It is the place of divine love.
Mothers are the people in our lives who make sure our physical needs are met. They do their best to see we have a warm place to sleep and food in our tummies (sometimes going hungry themselves so we can eat). They teach us all those things we need to know to cope with and even survive in our society.
Mothers are the first people who know when something is wrong. Intuitively, they pick up on the information that something is not right in our world. They know when we are sad or angry and provide us with the tools necessary to overcome those things. They pick up on when we are sick and do those things necessary to pinpoint exactly what is needed to make us feel better. They also magnify our joys by allowing our joys to become theirs.
In very real ways, mothers are our first connections to God in physical form. Mothers teach us how to observe those things felt with the heart and use that wisdom and guidance to make better decisions and create positive change in the world. Their unconditional love gives us the power overcome those obstacles we inevitably face. The gifts mothers give us enable us to stay grounded and connected to all that IS through the power of divine love.

Identity
Who I am? What is my purpose? Where do I fit in? Where do I belong? These are the sorts of questions we ask ourselves when trying to figure out how to operate in our daily lives. We go through a long process of assessing our skills, talents, interests, beliefs, etc. with the idea that this will help us find our place in the world. What strikes me this morning about the process is that we are trained to identify ourselves through our separateness instead of our Oneness.
Take the concept of competition. We are taught that competition is a good thing. As a species, we have supposedly survived because of our nature to overcome the elements, the earth, other animals and even other men. This makes us better and stronger. It weeds out the weak. Very often competition becomes a way we rank ourselves so we know where in the pecking order we all stack up.
Another concept we are taught to idealize is the concept of the "self-made" man. Having the ability to create a successful life when starting out with nothing is a very desirable thing. This means you were exceptionally smart and hardworking and had the ability to overcome disadvantage.
We are also conditioned to identify ourselves through the groups we are part of. You have your religious group (or lack thereof). You have your country, ethnicity, gender, political party, sexual preference, etc. to bond with. However, we are also encouraged to stay within the confines of these groups and oppose any and all who are different.
While I don't believe these ideas are bad, I do believe they are used to make us focus on our own separateness. The problem lies in the fact that when we are separate we are cut off from our own power, and often this power is placed into the hands of people who have no integrity. Wonder why our world is so screwed up? Look at those who hold our power!!!
Identifying ourselves with Oneness is a very different matter. When we see ourselves as part of everything, we understand that everything we do has consequences. We begin to live with integrity because we understand that the actions we take effect the whole organism. We look for ways we can all succeed, which means cooperation. Instead of using differences to separate ourselves we use our differences to perform all the various useful and necessary functions that help the One thrive.
The outlook we use to frame our identities will ultimately destroy the world or heal it. Choose wisely. The lives we save will be our own.

Laughter Is Good For the Soul!!!
Have you ever heard any of these phrases? Extremes can be funny!!!

Trusting Heart
Law of attraction followers spend a great deal of time talking about "flow". In a nutshell, flow is the concept of allowing yourself to go with the natural desires of your heart to the point where your life just flows from one experience to the next in a perfect and orderly dance. This topic is hitting me hard lately because I realize I have been resisting some of the key directions where my heart has been pulling me to go.
My heart has been drawing me back to my Christian roots. It isn't the ideologies that are calling me back. What is calling me back is the music I used to listen to. Much of my meditation time back then was spent listening to Christian music where I would allow myself to get so absorbed by the music and words I would get connected to God/Source. It is that connection that I crave, and the music will let me do it regardless of my views on religion.
The one thing holding me back is the thought I am committing myself to something that has the potential for darkness. Once again, I am overthinking things. My heart is guiding me there!!! Why am I resisting?
Sometimes the mind is a terrible burden. It uses lessons and observation to make judgments and decisions about where to go in life. The thing is, the information of the mind is extremely limited. Consequently, you are making decisions based on insufficient data. Limited data. Limited results!
The heart is what sees the bigger picture because it sees the whole picture!!! All the information is there. Fact of the matter is, your limited mind cannot wrap itself around the information contained in the One!!! Your heart is what does this. The heart does not think in the same linear way as the mind. The heart is timeless, spaceless, dimensionless. The heart has no limits.
You may not be able to understand why the heart is pulling you in one direction instead of another, but trust it anyway!!! Your heart sees what your mind cannot--eternity, and that is literally everything you need!!!
