Where The Magic Of Creation Begins!

I've been playing in my meditation time lately. I wanted to share because it is feeling very productive! The sweet spot I've been exploring is literally where all creation begins. It's a place full of magic that I don't want to leave when I'm there because of all the inspiration I have been receiving.

The technique I'm using is extremely simple. Once I am connected into my heart, I begin to ask questions specific to the personal talent I desire to develop. Lately, it has been my gift for writing. I have two ideas for books that I want to develop more fully. One idea is for a children's books series. The other is a more spiritually minded book for adults. One at a time, I ask the Universe how these stories should develop. Once I put the question out there, I just sit back and wait for an answer.

The answers that seem to evolve from this process are truly amazing! Never before have I had such details roll through my mind as I contemplate my writing. It's as thought the stories are writing themselves! It is such a wonderful and fascinating place to be I honestly don't want to leave (although I eventually have to get back to some of the more practical aspects of my life).

You could actually use this technique for more than inspiring you in using your talents. This is also a good place if you want to visualize healing a hurt relationship or improving your connection to something like money.

All creation begins in the spiritual realms before it manifests in the physical ones. By focusing your energy on the heart, you are better able to touch the spiritual and bring that forth into your physical life. Take the time to play in that space. You never know what life will spring forth from time spent in your heart!

The Revolution Is Spiritual!!!

The world we live in is severely troubled. A few people at the top of the food chain have more than they could possibly use over the course of thousands of lifetimes. The ones who are unfortunate enough to be on the bottom of the food chain live lives of desperation. Even those of us on the middle rungs struggle to make ends meet as there is often more month than paycheck. Here in the United States, we proudly proclaim our freedom while the chains of mortgages, loans, and jobs hang constantly over our heads. Deep down, we all know something is wrong and yet we can't agree on the solutions to fix it.

In the past, we have relied on violence to solve such problems--at least we have always believed that to be the case. After all, human beings are competitive and must fight to survive!!! Revolutions have pretty much always been bloody and costly. The word revolution brings up the idea of physical war and bloodshed for most people. The question is, what is the long term result of violent revolution? Overall, loss. Loss of life. Loss of resources. Loss of power for the side that loses.

Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and expecting different results. If we really want to change the system to benefit ourselves and others, does violence make sense? Violent change hasn't lasted over the long term. Won't we end up with the same results? (Loss, loss and more loss!!!)

The revolution we require is a spiritual revolution! We need to overthrow the establishment, not with violence, but with thought! We need to begin asking questions that will help us see things from new perspectives and begin working within those new parameters! We need to seek out what is unknown and bring it into consciousness. We need to expose the truth and use this transparency to create a world where everyone has enough, IS enough!

We need to break the chains of our slavery through setting our intention and removing our consent. The chains that bind most of us in this world are spiritual chains, but they are still a means of keeping us under control and enslaved.

The revolution is spiritual. The change that is required is a change of heart and mind. Our weapons are truth and love. Unless we come to terms with this, we will continue to kill each other until no one is left standing.

Humor As Medicine

Although not everyone agrees on what makes something funny, the vast majority of us value humor in one form or another. Humor can be used as a way to escape monotony or boredom. Humor can be a way to break the tension in a stressful situation. However, in a real energetic sense, humor can be used to cure what ails us.

From a physical and scientific standpoint, humor produces many positive physical changes in the body. According to The Mayo Clinic, humor has a number of short term and long term effects on the human body. In the short term, laughter helps your body take in more air, which stimulates your body's organs and produces those feel-good endorphins. The long term effects of laughter include things like helping your body produce neuropeptides (which decrease stress and boost the immune system), relieving pain, and improving overall mood.

Besides the positive physical effects of laughter though, one should also consider the spiritual/energetic aspects of humor. Stressful situations, like illness, divorce or death, can often bring on stagnant or blocked energy. Take a moment to look back at some of the more stressful situations in your life. Remember the energy of those situations--usually either slowed way down or blocked. Now remember the times in your life when you were able to have a good heartfelt laugh. How do those occasions feel different from one another? Have you ever been in a really stressful situation and all of a sudden someone did or said something funny that made you laugh?

Laughter really does loosen up stressful situations and make the energy lighten up and move on much more quickly. This is why I post my little midday "funnies" at lunchtime. It's my way of reminding you to take a few minutes to focus on something that will help your energy move in more positive directions!!!

Find a way to bring humor into your life every day, and the mountains you come up against will feel much more movable and a lot smaller than you previously thought. The power is yours!!! Allow humor to be part of your stay healthy routine every day!!!

Recognizing Blocked Energy

If you've ever listened to abundance gurus talk about the idea of flow and allowing things to come freely to you, you may have also come across terms like blocked energy. Typically blocked energy may be defined as anything that keeps your energy stuck outside something else and keeps your energy from flowing freely. In a nutshell, blocked energy is a literal separation!

Blocked energy is extremely common in our world--so common, in fact, that you come across it every day without giving it a second thought! For example, if you run across someone who is different from you in any way and you feel yourself pulling back, that is blocked energy (and you are doing the blocking). Maybe the person is morbidly obese or challenged in some way and you feel yourself repelled. Maybe the person is a different religion or sexual orientation from you and it feels threatening. Sometimes we even pull away because we feel unworthy of the love and attention we might receive from someone else, or we are afraid of being hurt. The point is, recognizing blocked energy can be this easy!

If you take the time, you can also explore blocked energy on a deeper, more subtle level. This takes a bit more introspection and investigation on your part. The best place to start is when you are in a relaxed, meditative and expanded state. Begin to explore the relationships you have in your life. It may be a family member, a friend, a coworker. Can you embrace this person, flaws and all, or is there something about this person that makes you pull away? Ask yourself why you would pull away. If the answer you receive from the universe is that you are not pulling away, ask yourself why the other person or thing is pulling away? Asking questions will help you discover what exactly is holding you back.

Picture yourself beside a wall that encloses a beautiful garden. You know there is great beauty and solace within, yet you cannot venture inside. You are blocked! This is the exact feeling you get when your energy is not allowed to flow freely!

Why would we want to recognize blocked energy? Blocked energy is a signal from the universe there is an issue you need to work on! Ideally, we want our energy to flow freely in order to take full advantage of all the gifts the universe has to offer us. When you are blocked, you are limiting what you can receive!

Recognize your blocked energy, and you will be able to resolve the issues that keep you from receiving the abundance available to all!

Connecting To Heart

The heart is the place of connection. Not only does it connect our basic, earthly selves to our higher vibrating spiritual selves, but the heart also acts as a conduit between our earthly/spiritual bodies and the greater universe at large. Taking time daily to connect to your heart will keep you grounded and focused on the wisdom of the One.
The instructions that follow are designed to help you connect to your own heart so that you can use that connection to embrace the divine. This is not the only way, nor will it necessarily work for everyone. Feel free the play with it and ask yourself if this works for you. If not, ask the divine what will work for you!
  1. Begin by sitting in a quiet, comfortable place, preferably with little distraction.
  2. Ask the divine to place protection around you. Envision a bubble of light surrounding you along with the presence of your guardian angels and their helpers. This will allow the light to come in and keep darkness out.
  3. Take deep breaths, filling your lungs as much as possible.
  4. As you exhale, allow your problems to be expelled along with the old, stale air. Focus on this breathing for several minutes as your body and mind detox from cluttered thoughts.
  5. Begin to focus on the beating of your heart. Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
  6. Picture your spirit self contained within that beating heart. Allow the being that is you to fill that heart space.
  7. Slowly allow that heart/spirit self to expand. Think about it expanding to fit into the room or building you are in. Expand it even further into town or county, state/country, continent, whole world, and out into space into infinity. When you first begin to experiment with this expansion, allow yourself to feel the limits of the next space before going on to more infinite space. Each step may take several minutes (and that's okay). You will become better at it the more you practice.
  8. Allow yourself to sit in this infinite space and rest for as long as you are able. Feel free to explore and ask questions. You will be amazed at what you discover!!!
It is time to wake up and remember the beautiful, spiritual, empowered soul you truly are!!!
