What Sets You Off Is Trying To Teach You Something!

There are times when I scroll through my social media posts to learn what is going on in my world, only to discover so much of what my friends perceive is way outside the truth as I see it. I do not believe others' perceptions of truth are wrong/bad/false. Everyone has their own place and their own lessons to learn--myself included, and this brings me to the point of this little tirade. On most days when I see posts that begin to make me angry/sad/frustrated, there is a theme associated with my anger. In these moments, I begin to understand that my uncontrolled emotions are trying to teach me something.

Lately what sets me off are my perceptions of fake news. I believe the vast majority of what is seen in the mainstream news is fake. They occasionally throw a few tidbits of reality into the mix to make people think they are reporting to us faithfully, but most of it is pure garbage designed to program us into certain ways of thinking. Even local news is highly scripted, the proof of which has been highlighted on numerous occasions by late night talk show host Conan O'Brien.

I have an amazing number of friends who still do not understand how scripted the news actually is. It frustrates me when they share such questionable news sources as truth in order to back up their belief system. While I usually refrain from commenting, sometimes I find myself reacting. This is a problem because this is where most fights on social media begin.

When my higher self is in control, my reactions are much more measured. Instead of trying to tell my friends how they are wrong, I attempt to understand why I am reacting to their post in such a manner. My life is not about how other people perceive the world. My life is not about judging someone else's thoughts and way of life. My life is about navigating the obstacles and finding solutions that bring me to my own state of inner happiness, joy and peace.

Lately, I am aware the most of my reactions are judgments. While judgments are part of the state of duality we are experiencing, when we focus on that which we judge we perpetuate our state of separation. This is not where I personally desire to be. This is not what my lifetime is about, and in that moment of disharmony I am not focusing on my mission of bringing love to the world.

Understand that when you run into those life circumstances that disturb your peace, your emotions are your body's way of uncovering those lessons you need to learn. While it is possible to avoid looking at them and temporarily run away, ultimately these experiences follow you around until you take the time to learn what they are trying to teach you.

Next time something makes you angry, take the time to question why. You may just make a discovery that will lead you to your next big breakthrough!

Supplying The Contrast

It never ceases to amaze me how many people cling to their politics--particularly spiritual people. If you mention anything that goes against what they believe and/or is something they don't want to hear they immediately react and have to argue why you're wrong. I have to confess, there are times when I rise to the bait even though I know better. Politics consistently supply the contrast we came to discover in this world of duality.

What does supplying the contrast mean exactly? Contrast is the play and pull between two seemingly different or even opposite things. Supplying the contrast means encountering a situation that places something new or different directly in our path. We then use these encounters to learn and grow. At least, that is the ultimate goal of the contrast.

We don't always choose to learn. On many occasions the contrast is so disturbing for us that we first get angry and then we shut down. We deny there is anything new for us to learn--we know it all and there is nothing here left to see. Of course, that is far from the truth. Anything that sets us off in such an extreme way is a valuable clue we have an issue that needs to be resolved.

My personal belief is that we come to this three-dimensional world to study this contrast and learn from it. We come from a place I like to call Oneness, where we are all connected and everything works together for the good of the whole. Because duality was created by separating out individual things (darkness from light, heavens from water, plants from animals from people, etc.) we are able to look at these pieces in new and interesting ways.

We have made the contrasts about separation itself. We look at those people and things that are different from us, and we push them away. It is too scary to accept those things we do not know and understand. The irony is, when we take the time to try to understand something different from ourselves, we end up learning that, deep down, we are truly one and the same.

The next time you encounter something you vehemently feel is wrong, sit back and ask yourself why you feel this way. Explore it. Ask different questions about it. Learn why it is important to someone else. You may just gain a whole new way of thinking that will expand and grow who you are in the world.

Where The Magic Of Creation Begins!

I've been playing in my meditation time lately. I wanted to share because it is feeling very productive! The sweet spot I've been exploring is literally where all creation begins. It's a place full of magic that I don't want to leave when I'm there because of all the inspiration I have been receiving.

The technique I'm using is extremely simple. Once I am connected into my heart, I begin to ask questions specific to the personal talent I desire to develop. Lately, it has been my gift for writing. I have two ideas for books that I want to develop more fully. One idea is for a children's books series. The other is a more spiritually minded book for adults. One at a time, I ask the Universe how these stories should develop. Once I put the question out there, I just sit back and wait for an answer.

The answers that seem to evolve from this process are truly amazing! Never before have I had such details roll through my mind as I contemplate my writing. It's as thought the stories are writing themselves! It is such a wonderful and fascinating place to be I honestly don't want to leave (although I eventually have to get back to some of the more practical aspects of my life).

You could actually use this technique for more than inspiring you in using your talents. This is also a good place if you want to visualize healing a hurt relationship or improving your connection to something like money.

All creation begins in the spiritual realms before it manifests in the physical ones. By focusing your energy on the heart, you are better able to touch the spiritual and bring that forth into your physical life. Take the time to play in that space. You never know what life will spring forth from time spent in your heart!

The Balance Between Intuition And The Mind

Almost 20 years ago, I was told by my husband he wanted to separate. At the time I was still heavily invested in that relationship and still deeply in love with him. It was his desire that the kids and I stay in Georgia with my parents when he returned to Iowa. As I had no family support system in Iowa, that sounded like a good idea to me.

Several months down the road of this divorce journey, I had a dream. It felt extremely significant as I don't often remember my dreams, but I did this one. In the dream, my husband moved to Georgia to be closer to the kids. The thought that my husband would move to Georgia made me happy. I believed he would realize what he had lost and come back to me.

About a year and a half after that dream, my life was in shambles. My divorce had been finalized and I was the one who filed as I found out he was with someone else. My ex and his girlfriend had indeed moved to Georgia to be closer to the kids. While my dream had come true, nothing about it panned out as I had hoped.

The thing about intuitive insight is this: it isn't always what your mind wants to see and your mind can and will distort it. I believe I was given that dream in order to prepare for my ex being back in my life in a new and different way. However, back then I was not in the same place I am now. I didn't ask questions. I didn't seek any clarity or additional insight. Maybe if I had I would have understood he was not going to be coming alone.

The information was all there in my heart. Deep inside, I had known my husband had not been faithful to me. I tried to blame his behavior and the signs I noticed on depression or other circumstances. I was in a deep state of denial because I was not ready to give up on that relationship.

I believe the mind can play a good role when intuition comes into play. If I had allowed my mind to ask the questions that were there, I would have understood more and probably would have gained a great deal more insight. I would have been much more prepared for what actually happened and stronger through the process.

Hindsight is always 20/20. That said, I am much more likely to ask questions and look at intuitive information from different perspectives in present day. I am not perfect. I am still a work-in-progress, but every day I get closer to the person I want to be. I am becoming a person who is open to intuition and asks questions until I better understand the role this information is supposed to play in my life. The balance between intuition and the mind is key to living a more healthy and abundant life.

The Power Of Asking Questions

For too many years, I was a good little girl. I followed the rules. I listened to those in authority. I typically looked no farther than the information available in the mainstream. Then I had a daughter who lived outside the box. As she did not fit the mainstream mold, I was forced to look at new information. I began to ask new questions when the mainstream answers I received were not good enough. My heart kept telling me there was more to the story.

My questions led me to new information and then on to more questions. I went from researching topics in the healthcare field to religion and politics, asking questions along the way. The more I questioned, the more information became available to me. I began to realize there was a great deal I was unaware of before, just because I had failed to asked questions in the first place.

Why are questions so powerful? When you put a question out in the Universe, you are signaling to the Universe that you are open to new knowledge. Being open is key to allowing energy to flow in your life.

Think about this: if you believe you have all of the answers, you are not open to new information. After all, you know everything! What else could possibly be learned?

Asking questions opens your life up to new possibilities! Even when you are looking at the same thing you've seen for years, asking questions allows you to change your perspective enough to see something from a different angle. Often the changed perspective shifts what you see so you receive new insights.

Want to change your life? Begin to ask new questions about the things in it. You may just open yourself up enough to allow new blessings to flow in!

How Technology Is Waking People Up!!!

Yesterday, my husband wanted to discuss a news story he had just seen about the price of new cars becoming more outrageous because they were having to install anti-hacking technology into them. It was apparently news to him that technology exists that allows people to hack into a car's computer and physically control the vehicle. Needless to say, my husband is not a conspiracy theorist.

I became aware the technology existed in June of 2013. This was when reporter Michael Hastings died in a fiery car crash. He was the Rolling Stone reporter that wrote the expose on General Stanley McChrystal that led to McChrystal's resignation back in 2010. As the story goes, Hastings was working on a big story when his car crashed and caught fire, killing him on impact. While there have been a good many mainstream media stories negating the idea he was killed through the remote hacking of his car, many conspiracy theorists believed he was targeted and murdered this way. There was even a Youtube video that got circulated showing someone actually hacking into and controlling a modern day vehicle.

I don't believe most of us need to be afraid our cars are going to be hacked into and taken over, even if you have a newer model that will allow such a thing. The vast majority of people on the planet (including myself) don't have enough hard evidence to be dangerous to the powers that be.

What I find amazing is that stories such as the one my husband saw are now out there in the mainstream. The cool thing about such articles is they make people aware of how truly advanced technology has become. A natural question resulting from the car hacking story is, "What other advanced technology exists that I am currently unaware of?"

It is the process of asking the question that opens our minds to possibilities. People who believe they have all the answers are close-minded to what exists outside themselves.

My own process of awakening was aided by my access to the internet. I had begun asking health questions because of concerns I had for my daughter. I was told by the establishment (in this instance medical doctors) there was no hope for the problems my daughter had--she would be dependent on medications her entire life. My heart, on the other hand, told me this was not true. I knew there had to be other options. This is where my questions began. Facebook became a way for me to connect with other people all over the world who were searching for answers as well.

Any time new information about technology is revealed, someone somewhere begins asking new questions. While the learning curve is still great, more and more people begin to ask new questions every day. It is only a matter of time before the questions crack open the dam of truth!

Keep searching!!! Follow the wisdom and guidance in your heart, where your own personal connection to truth lies.

Why Are People Starving?

Overpopulation. Climate change. Resource depletion. Such is the nature of the arguments as to why we can't feed the population of the planet. I have one word to say in response. Bullsh!t!!! Solutions are out there!!! We have just been dumbed down to the point we are no longer asking the right questions on how we can change the situation!!! There are things people are doing all over the planet--things that could be replicated on a global scale--that would go a long ways to fighting starvation!!!

There is a farmer in California's Sonoma valley who produced $100,000/acre last year during their record-breaking drought!!! He didn't use GMO's, pesticides, or herbicides. He didn't have to weed. He used 10 times less water than the average farm. How did he do this? He did it by innovating. He did it by breaking the rules. (You can read the details here.)

Paul Kaiser farms just under 8 acres. Interestingly, he doesn't plow his fields. He doesn't have to. He uses compost so well that university agriculture specialists have tested his fields and found four feet worth of amazingly rich topsoil, produced through the extensive use of composting. Imagine all the nutrition that comes from eating the veggies he produces!!! For me, this is the way farming should be. Small scale. Local. Sustainable.

The way most food is produced here in the United States is through huge, unhealthy disease ridden and literally poisonous practices. GMO's. Overspraying of pesticides and herbicides. Soil that has been depleted of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. Food produced in such ways comes out with very little nutritional value and toxins that need to be processed away (which pretty much kills any nutritional value the food might have had to begin with). Obesity is a common problem here as people's bodies crave more nutrients than the food contains.

But I am basing my theory on just one anecdotal story, you say? This is just one example of land in California's breadbasket? This is not something that can be replicated in the rest of the world, right?!!! True. This probably would not work in the desert. Colder climates could also be factors in growing enough food to feed the planet.

There are solutions out there!!! It's really more a matter of asking the right questions and looking/listening for the results!!! There is a project going on in the middle of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where over a million pounds of food is produced year round on three acres of land. If you know anything about Milwaukee, it is a cold climate during the winter that sees a great deal of snow. How do they do it? They use an aquaponics system within greenhouses heated only by the sun in the warmer months and compost production in the winter months (the composting process builds heat). To make it even better, they produce organic food that includes protein sources in the form of fish!!!

Food production even in places like India can be increased tremendously using different farming techniques than what "science" claims is best!!! Certain farmers there have been experimenting with a technique known as the System of Rice Intensification (SRI). It focuses on improving the management of soil, water and nutrients instead of on the seeds. (You can read more on this here.)

The point with all of this is, there are farmers out there who are asking questions and trying new techniques with amazing results. Why is this not the norm? Seems to me that farmers need to be asking their own questions and not looking to the status quo for answers. Not only would they produce higher quality food, but they would produce more of it (and make more money)!!!

Solutions are out there! There is no reason we need to just accept the idea the world cannot possibly sustain the population! Dare to be different!!!

Why are people starving? Because we just stupidly accept what they powers that be tell us about the condition of the planet instead of asking our own questions and trying new things!!! It is through our own apathy and laziness that we destroy ourselves!!! It is only when we are willing to accept responsibility for what exists that we are able to change the world.

Take responsibility! Ask questions! Change the world!!!

Questioning The Status Quo

I've noticed a new trend among many of my friends. They are beginning to ask more questions about inconsistencies they see in the world around them. There is a shift in awareness that what we have been told about how the world operates is not true. Questioning has begun.

I have noticed exciting changes in my more conservative South Carolina friends. Since the racially motivated church shootings in Charleston, they have begun to notice how politicians and events are used to create conflict among people in order to promote agendas. South Carolinians have witnessed outsiders showing up and demonstrating, trying to engage the natives in fights. So far they are resisting the violence and showing solidarity in love and compassion instead. The powers that be are failing to meet their goals in big ways because the people of the state can see through the lies.

I've seen other friends remark on lies in the news. One of my friends posted this meme on social media:
I've seen conversations where people are beginning to question many of the stories they see in the mainstream media. I remember a time when everyone believed everything reported on the nightly news was the honest truth. To even question this bastion of information shows there are cracks in society's foundation.

People are beginning to question their political programming. I see them seriously considering candidates the mainstream media tries to paint as not viable while bashing candidates the media promotes. It used to be that people would say things like, "You can't win if you're not on the Democratic or Republican tickets", but more and more people are looking outside the box for politicians who suggest new solutions.

The bottom line is, people are beginning to wake up to the deceptions in record numbers! They are questioning the status quo and because they question they are beginning to see new information. When your mind expands, you are more likely to follow new courses of action. Change results.

I have hope for the future because people are asking the questions that allow them to discover truth!!! It truly is an interesting and wonderful time to be alive!!!

The Parable Of the Rope Maker

There was once a man who was asked by a rope maker to evaluate the rope. "Is it flexible enough to knot easily?" the rope maker asked the man. The man took the rope and began making knots--regular knots, slip knots and even a few sailing knots he was familiar with. After a lengthy inspection, the man concluded that indeed the rope was very flexible and could be used for a variety of knots.

"Does the rope seem strong and durable?" the man was asked. The man felt the rope and pulled on it. He even strung it over the branch of a nearby tree and hung onto it to see if it could hold his weight. "It seems good and solid to me," he replied.

"Now test the rope to see if it is smooth and not abrasive," the rope maker asked the man. Once again the man did his best. He touched it and ran it through his fingers. Then the rope maker said, "Before you make a final decision, the best test for smoothness is to check it with some of your more sensitive skin. See if it is abrasive on your neck." The rope maker led the man to a length of rope hanging from another branch of the tree and helped the man place the noose around his neck. Just as the man was feeling the abrasiveness, the rope maker pulled tight on the rope so the man was left swinging and died a few minutes later.

"I guess the rope was good enough to do exactly what I needed," the rope maker concluded.

Many people in society are just like the man asked to evaluate the rope. We are eager to help, and we are convinced the rope maker is trying to make a useful product. We trust, without questioning, until the very moment when the rope maker pulls hard on the rope and we are left choking to death.

How long will it take before we are willing to ask the questions that just may save our lives? How long will it take us to access the wisdom that comes with connection, where truth cannot be hidden? We are no more than the questions we are willing to ask and the information we are willing to recognize. Don't let blind faith and trust lead to our destruction.

Intuition Made Me a Conspiracy Theorist!

Have you ever watched the evening news and thought, "Something is not right here! The facts are not adding up!!!"? Stuff like this happens to us all the time, and yet we ignore the thoughts and try to forget about them. Why? Because it is not okay to be different. It is much easier to follow the "rules" and blend in. I have never been afraid of being different, so in some respects it has been a little easier for me to go against the grain.

My turn to the "dark" side (and yes, that is tongue-in-cheek) came with problems I had with my daughter. By the time she had reached middle school she was angry and depressed and quite difficult to deal with. I searched everywhere for answers: teachers and school counselors, social workers and psychologists. I finally took her to a psychiatrist who diagnosed her with ADHD. While I could see she did have some symptoms, I also knew there was something more going on. I had worked as a residence counselor with emotionally disturbed children for several years as well as many more years working as a preschool teacher. I know ADHD. You can reason with those children, even when they're angry. You could not reason with my daughter when she was angry. If you continued to talk about what upset her she would continue to get more and more angry and would not stop. The only way I could get her out of the anger was to distract her with a totally random subject.

At this point, I need to step in and say that my "knowing" it was not just ADHD was largely my intuition talking to me. I just didn't recognize that's what is was at the time. I never analyzed my intuition when I was using it back then.

Finally in desperation, I asked God what was wrong with her. I heard the word "bipolar" in my head. My first thought was, "I have a bachelor's degree in psychology! This is not what I was taught bipolar is!" However, when I went home that night and began to research bipolar disorder on my computer, I found out that it manifests much differently in children than it does in adults. The anger was a very common manifestation in children, as well as the fact that the mania and depression can cycle through in children three or four times a day as opposed to weeks or months of one or the other in adults.

I began to research what could be done for bipolar disorder, and the answers I found were not good. All the science-based accepted views were that bipolar disorder could not be cured and people needed to spend the rest of their lives on medication! Still, again my intuition popped back up, telling me this was not true!!! I began to do more research into alternative treatments and included prayer in the mix to help guide me to more answers. This lead me to a new friend at work with an autistic/ADHD daughter and the book "Enzymes: Go With Your Gut" by Karen DeFelise. Even though my daughter is not autistic, she does have some symptoms in common with autistic people that made me understand digestion plays a key role in mental health!!! She had digestive problems from the time she was a very small child.

It was at this point that I stopped and looked back at my life. If so much information was being left out of mainstream science in this area, what else was missing? I began to question everything! As I asked more and more questions (and came up with even more questions), I started to understand the world was not as it appeared at first glance. There was missing information everywhere!!! My new life had begun.

It's been a good many years since that first struggle with my daughter's health, yet I wouldn't change it if I could. I have learned so much and met some really wonderful and fascinating people along the way. Even though I still see many problems in the world, I am much more aware of them and can actively work on ways to fix them.

That's why I feel so strongly about helping people tap into their own intuitions. I honestly believe that by helping people connect to their hearts and the wisdom of the One, I can help change the planet for the good of all, one person at at time.

Yes, I am a conspiracy theorist, and yes, my intuition helped me get there. I feel I am much more complete and aware. I wouldn't change a thing!!!

Finding Mission

A few years back, I became aware that I needed to prepare my life for something new. My youngest son was beginning his junior year of high school, and I knew that my job as full-time mom would be ending in the near future. While I would always be mom, my kids were becoming adults with their own lives and their own missions. Trying to mother them at that point would be more like smothering them. I began to question my heart about what I could do with the rest of my life.

Discovering mission can be a process. You start by asking questions. What are my options? What are my talents? Where does my heart want to go? Is there something I can do that would fulfill me and make me happy?

For me, part of my answers came from my past. I've always been attracted to spiritual topics. I loved listening to my father discuss scriptures and various religious topics from the time I was young. I have an avid interest in history, which led me to becoming a tour guide at some church historic sites (by far the best job I've ever had) when I was in college.

Something else that influences me is my empathic nature. As someone who feels everyone else's feelings, I am always attempting to help unhappy people feel better. This led me to volunteering at a camp for abused and neglected children when I was in high school and working with emotionally disturbed children in a group home after obtaining a BA in psychology.

One last thing that speaks to me is writing. I have always been a big reader, so I love the written word. Being able to put my thoughts and feelings into written words has been a way for me to contribute some of my deeper beliefs with others. Blogging has been my way to get these thoughts out into the world.

Working with a coach who asked the right questions helped me put it all together, although the real key is to begin focusing on your heart. By asking your heart where it wants to go, you begin to feel the pull of certain activities. It reminds me of the old childhood game "Hot or Cold?" When you get closer to what your heart wants, you begin to feel happier (hot). When you lose your heart focus and pull away from what it wants, you begin to feel depressed (cold).

Finding mission is a matter of tuning in to what your heart wants. Your heart is connected to the wisdom of the Universe. It knows your gifts and talents and what your true calling is. Connect within and you will never be separate from your purpose. You will BEcome, and that's what mission is all about!!!

The Importance of Connection To the Divine

I have recently had a very dear friend become upset with me because he sees me as having "changed my tune" about exposing evil. Honestly, the original incident was far enough back that I don't remember all the details. I do believe he came to me with questions trying to resolve some things about his job that didn't resonate with his heart. Because of all my recent posts on Facebook exposing darkness to the light, he has now decided it have done an about face from how I had responded to that earlier inquiry. Maybe I have changed my tune. Like I said, I only vaguely recall the topic in the first place.

There is nothing wrong with sharing a problem with a friend and discussing your concerns. Often it helps to talk things out and get them off your chest. The thing is, sometimes we allow what others say to effect how we think and believe about the topic at hand. This is where we all make mistakes, and yet we do it all the time. We look for answers outside ourselves.

If there is one thing I know, it is that listening to the advice of another person can be full of peril. The advice may be faulty. Your interpretation of what the other person is saying may or may not be accurate. My point here is, you are not asking for answers from the One that speaks to your heart. You are looking for answers outside yourself.

If you want the real deal answers, you have got to inquire within!!! The only way to get accurate information is to develop your own personal relationship to the Divine and ask and listen from that place. All other information is questionable!!! I only have to look at the road I traveled with Jeff Lundgren and company to see where listening to the advice of another can lead you!!!

I am human. As such, I do not have all the answers!!! I make mistakes!!! If you have read anything I have written in this blog I am glad to be acknowledged, but my ultimate goal is not to become a guru or spiritual adviser. My goal is to help you remember the importance of having your own one-one-one connection to God/Source/Creator/Universal Intelligence!!!

The best answers are waiting for you within your own heart. Inquire there first. Take time to listen to the answers. You will find your life will become much more smooth and free flowing when you allow your connection to the Divine to take precedence in your life.

Ignoring Problems Will Not Make Them Go Away!!!

I have a lot of friends who believe you have to focus on what you want (instead of what you don't want) if you want to make good things happen in your life. While I believe this Law of Attraction principle, I also believe those who focus purely on the "good" are also missing something. Fact of the matter is, ignoring problems does not make them go away.

"Oh! But if you focus on what is wrong with something you'll get more of what's wrong!" Yes. If you spend all your time dwelling on the problem it will probably continue. How then can we get beyond the problem and into the love and light portion of the program? We need to recognize the problem and then ask what we can do to solve the problem! The key is to focus on the solution!!!

Asking questions is one of the best tools we have for overcoming obstacles. The question is what enables us to see new perspectives. What is the problem? Why is it a problem? Is there a way around it? Can we use this problem as a stepping stone to better places? What other ways are there to look at this problem? As you ask questions with an open heart, you begin to access new information. Solutions become available to those who ask for them!!!

Problems are actually a huge part of the learning and growth process. They challenge us to think in new ways. They force us to think outside the comfort of our well-worn boxes. If you don't have problems, you probably aren't growing much either.

Problems are a part of life, whether you choose to see them or not. Recognizing a problem will help you if you allow it to be used as a jumping off point to new adventures. The key is to focus on potential solutions. That way, you are in a positive, creation mode, which will enable you to get closer to those things you actually do want.

You can both recognize a problem while working to fix it all at the same time!!! It's the best way I know of to create a better world!!!

Using Emotional Triggers To Fix What Ails You

Something happens, and an emotion comes raging to the surface. Fear. Sadness. Anger. Depression. Jealousy. Pain. Irritation. The feelings are intense and your body reacts accordingly. Many times you have reacted on impulse to such emotions without thinking about potential consequences. What is going on and how can you deal with these feelings in constructive ways?

Emotions are your body's way of trying to get you to pay attention to information your intuitive self is trying to bring into consciousness. In other words, strong feelings indicate there is something you need to understand. I personally like to call them trigger points, because they are so strong they trigger a response (whether controlled or not).

Over the years, I have learned to pay attention to these trigger points. When strong emotion is triggered, I begin to look at the situation and ask questions. The first thing I usually ask the Universe is "What is this emotion trying to tell me?" Other questions are things like, "What specific emotion is coming up?" and "What is it about this situation that upsets me?" The right questions will help you focus in on what is bothering you.

Sometimes the fix is relatively simple. For example, some people consistently rub me the wrong way. When I ask the question, "What about this situation is bothering me?" I usually discover the other person is being hypocritical or I don't like the fact this person is forcing his/her beliefs on myself or others. As I begin to realize I don't have to accept the person's actions and allow them to change how I believe and behave, many times these emotions will be resolved and the emotion no longer comes up.

At other times, the information that is trying to surface is much more complex. For example, a coworker once did something that triggered a rage so bad in me I overreacted in the extreme--cutting her totally out of my life as though she did not exist. When I finally calmed down, I began to ask questions. "Why was my reaction to this coworker so extreme?" When I asked that question, I had a flashback to another lifetime. In that past lifetime, she had taken advantage of me so badly that I became a prisoner. My body was reacting to her same energy in this lifetime, and I knew I was not going to allow her to take advantage of me anymore. Interestingly enough, once I recognized the past life connection, the emotion totally went away and I never had a problem with it again. I just knew I needed to be up front with this coworker and tell her "No" when she wanted me to do something special for her.

Your body is always connected and aware of things your conscious is not. Listen to it when it speaks to  you through your emotions. You may just discover a whole new world of information that will not only change your life but also fix up every problem that ails you!!!

Living In The Question

It is human nature to search for answers. We want to understand what things are, how they came to be and how we fit into the into the grand scheme of things. The journey of growth and understanding begins with the question.

Small children instinctively know this. That is why they drive us crazy asking question after question as soon as they learn to speak! Their lives are full of exploring, experimenting and wondering why!

At some point in our adult lives, many of us stop asking questions. The reasons for this may vary, but suffice it to say that adults often believe they already know the answers! They have defined who and what they are and have become content in that knowledge. Anyone who tells them differently from what they believe is just plain wrong! What they don't understand is, this way of thinking is a trap!

Often, what we believe is truth is merely seeing an issue from one very limited perspective. Change the angle you look from and your "truth" can appear strangely different!!! Take a simple cylinder. If you stand beside the cylinder, you might perceive something that looks like a square or rectangle. However, if you happen to look at the cylinder from an end, you will perceive a circle! Is either perspective wrong? No, but you could waste a great deal of time arguing your point if you don't stop to ask yourself how someone else can see something so completely different!

Being willing to ask the question keeps you in a childlike state of wonder, opening your world to possibilities you would not otherwise know exist. True open mindedness is the willingness to believe something more or different could be possible! This is exactly what asking questions does. Questions keep you open to more!

It is the question that expands us. It is the question that helps us grow. It is the question that ultimately enables us to look beyond our established boundaries and into the infinite. The question contains great power. Are you courageous enough to ask the question and follow where it leads?

Your whole life can begin to change as you become willing to live in the question!!!
