Revelations

I have always been a very private person. It isn't that I don't reveal who I am. I just have a tendency to reveal only those bits and pieces to certain individuals or groups that I know will be open to them. Sometimes being extra-sensitive can be a curse as it keeps me from being totally honest with people about how I really feel. I now understand keeping myself closed off from the world has been a hindrance to my own personal growth and progress. Although it is scary and I know there is a possibility of losing people and things I love, I also know I will not achieve my goals if I don't allow myself to show the world who I truly am. During the coming year, I am going to reveal various aspects of myself through writings and stories that I have not been totally open and honest about.

First and foremost, I am very sensitive to energies. That is why I am extremely good at reading people (although I admit there are times when my mind doesn't wish to believe things about people and I ignore the information). What many people don't know is that I can often communicate with these various energies. I do have some psychic medium capabilities (not well developed as they have never been a big focus for me). I have talked to deceased people I know and those who wish to send messages to people I am close to. Both of my grandchildren came to me before they were born to let me know they were on the way. I have knowledge of my main guardian angel--close enough that he has told me his name. I am also extremely close to the guardians of the natural world. Many people would refer to these energies as fairies.

Religion has always been a big part of my life. That said, the fallacies of many standard Christian beliefs have slapped me in the face numerous times to the point where I can no longer accept much of it. For example, I do not believe Jesus died for my sins. I don't believe anybody has to die for my sins. I believe my "sins" are learning experiences designed to grow me. I do believe in Jesus. I have a personal relationship with him. I believe he came to the world to be a great teacher--to show us how to grow beyond this present existence. This is just one of many beliefs that are different than mainstream Christianity--and the ones I have found the most difficult to reveal because most of the people I know and love are bound up in such beliefs.

My hope for the coming year is that I will be able to articulate my life and my beliefs in such a way that you will understand who I am. I know I am not everyone's cup of tea, and that is okay. I may even lose some friends over it. That is okay too. Regardless of whether you stay or go, know that I still love you and am envisioning blessings for you and your life. I am also hoping my revelations will bring me people who are part of my tribe--those who I am called to help and interact with.

I feel the call to allow my true self to be revealed. In doing so, I hope to encourage you to do the same if you have not done it already. We are entering a time and an age where the light is becoming so bright nothing can be hidden any longer.

Waiting For a Savior

Something hit me in my quiet time this morning. I first noticed it in the pages of my journal. Apparently, I have been so caught up in the events happening in the world around me I have lost track of my days. I haven't been writing much of consequence about my daily life--nothing at all for yesterday. Then it hit me. I have been so focused on events going on in the world around me I have not paid attention to what is happening with me! Somehow in this mess of a world, I am getting lost. And that's when it hit me. I am looking for someone or something outside myself to save me!!!

What's wrong with that, you ask? Quite simply, the savior never comes. We have been taught since time immemorial to wait for a savior. Most religions are based on the concept. In my own background of Christianity, we focus on New Testament prophesy about the return of the King. We have this idea that Jesus will ride in on his shiny and noble steed and save the world from impending doom and destruction caused by too much sin and general wickedness. Ironically, we look down at Jews, who didn't recognize Christ the savior in their midst when he appeared among them 2000 years ago. The irony here is, they too were looking for a prophesied savior who was supposed to come in and liberate them from their oppressors. When a great teacher showed up instead, is it any wonder they didn't recognize him?

We have all been taught to wait for a white knight (god, politician, etc.) to come and rescue us, and there is a reason for it. If you look for the answers to show up outside yourself, you will not take the necessary initiative to save yourself. It's a very simple and elegant strategy, put out there so that those in power can retain their power (not to mention yours). By denying your own power, you give up your own ability to be effective in the world. Others can then come in and claim it.

Fact of the matter is, we all have the power within ourselves to do great things. Even Jesus, one of the wisest teachers I know, taught that.
Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12 KJV
Jesus was trying to teach us that we all have the ability to change outcomes--that what saves us is claiming our own power through our own connection to God/Source/Oneness!

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: Jesus (and Buddha and Mohammed, etc.) are already here! They are in your heart! All you need to do is "tune in" and access them from there. If you are looking for that white knight to ride in and save the day, you need look no further than yourself.

It is time to stop waiting and play your part. The reason the savior is not here is because you haven't decided to claim your power! Be still. Listen to the voice of the One within. Follow that guidance. The world will only begin to change when you wake up and take charge of your own power. You are the savior you've been waiting for. Go save yourself!

The Most Powerful Tool In Your Spiritual Toolbox

Spiritual battles are being fought all around me right now. It's almost as though someone has cranked up the volume on the stereo to full blast, effecting everyone within hearing distance (which seems to be pretty much everyone worldwide right now). Everywhere I turn, people are having some major struggle or another. It's important--now more than ever--to assess the tools we have at our disposal to help us remain strong and upright at this time a great upheaval.

Last night as I looked at the problems going on all around me, I felt the very strong need to once again ask for spiritual protection (seems I've been doing a lot of that lately). Jesus is my particular go-to guy when I need special help because I have known him my whole life and he has always been there for me. I asked him and the archangels to surround me with all the protection I needed to meet the challenges of the day.

I felt Jesus very close as words formed in my head. "We are always here when you need us and you ask. Understand that nothing can get to you with us here." All at once I was overwhelmed with the love he has for me and has always had for me. Tears rolled down my cheeks as I felt the immense power of love emanating from my protectors.

And that's when it hit me. Love is the most powerful protection of all!!! When there is pure, unconditional love, nothing bad can harm you. The vibration of love is so high everything that comes into its presence is transformed. Love cannot be stopped!!!

Are you carrying the power of unconditional love in your spiritual toolbox? Are you allowing it to surround you and envelop you in its lovely strength? The more familiar you become with the power and the presence of love, the more you BEcome love. You have the ability to transform all those negatives in your life into positives.

Know that the most powerful tool you can ever have is with you at all times. You just need to remember to use it!!!

Calling On Help Unseen

When I was fourteen, I talked to Jesus daily. I told him what I was feeling. I thanked him for what I had. I asked him for help with things I was trying to accomplish. My inner monologue was usually scattered throughout the day as thoughts came up. I couldn't see him or hear him, but I felt his presence with me.

I walked home from school every day as my parents both worked and were not available to pick me up. I didn't mind. It usually gave me some quiet time to think.

I remember walking home from school one fall afternoon. It wasn't particularly cold yet. The sky overhead was blanketed in clouds, although they were not so heavy as to be dark. Pretty typical for Ohio, where I lived.

As I came up a road about two blocks from my house, I noticed a car drive past me. I wasn't paying particular attention to the car until I heard it stop slightly past me. Slowly, it pulled back to where I was. Odd.

Then I looked at the car. There were two skanky looking men that appeared to be in their mid twenties. The one driving had dark unkempt hair with a scraggly beard. The one in the passenger seat closest to me was blonde but had the same unkempt hair and beard. What really scared me though were the expressions in their eyes. I had never seen evil that intense and close up (nor have I seen it since). I knew they were planning to grab me, rape me and probably kill me. It was written in those soulless expressions.

I didn't have time to think, but I did what came naturally. I just said a quick prayer, "Jesus, save me!!!"

In that moment, the looks of evil in the eyes of those men changed. Instead of looking dangerous and powerful, their expressions became filled with terror. The man driving the car stepped on the gas so hard the tires squealed as they sped off.

My first thought was, "There must be a cop car coming down the road," but no cop car was there. Nor was any other car there. No car was coming down the street, parked on the street or even sitting in a driveway. And there were no people either--not even people looking out the windows of any of the houses lining the street. I stood there for several minutes looking for the presence of any other person. I was the only one there.

As that realization sunk in, I knew something powerful had happened. There was no way those guys had been scared off by me. My only guess was that they had somehow been allowed to see the angels who were protecting me and it frightened them so badly they peeled out as fast as they could. The important thing was, I had taken the time to ask for help. I believe I received it.

We all face problems. Sometimes these problems seem so big and dangerous we have no idea how we are going to overcome them. Understand we do have the power to handle these situations. We have the power of the One. To access this power, all we need to do is ask.

There is always unseen help to be given. Call upon it, and the powers of the heavens will make themselves available to you.
