What if...your understandings of how society works were wrong? What if...everything you have ever been taught about human behavior was wrong? What if...we could step outside those boxes and create a new reality? What would that look like? What are the possibilities?
I know I do not like the world the way it is at present. Too much hunger. Too much disease. Too much poverty. Too much pollution. Too much violence. Too much war. Too much agony and pain overall. For someone with highly developed skills of empathy, this much suffering can be very difficult to take.
We are taught it is a dog-eat-dog world. Everyone must fight for what they want. Survival of the fittest is the way things are. Our world's resources are limited. There is not enough to go around.
What if...I told you there is a solution for every problem? Would you believe me and try to find the solutions, or would you scoff and turn away?
My heart tells me there are always solutions!!! My heart tells me to ask new questions that will help me find new answers and increase my understanding!!! My heart tells me there are ways for everyone to not only have enough but to also live abundantly!!!
Let me give you a concrete example. We are told the world cannot possibly feed all of its seven billion people--that there is not enough land to grow enough food to alleviate the hunger. I don't buy it!!! I look around and see creative solutions to food problems everywhere. An initiative in Boston allows food to be grown on vacant lots, providing healthy food, business opportunities and agriculture training to local residents. Los Angeles residents were able to overcome city gardening ordinances to be able to grow food on small but usable strips of land. In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, over a million pounds of food is grown year round on three acres of land using a vertical aquaponics design that even incorporates protein in the form of fish! Then there is the organic farmer in California who ended up with a bumper crop of veggies during one of the most severe droughts on record!!! These are just a few examples, but they all say one thing to me: there are solutions to every problem!!!
Don't like the world you live in either? Join me in changing it!!! Allow yourself to rethink what is possible. Begin asking the questions that will open your mind and heart up to new understandings!!!
Even more important: get into your own heart and connect to the love within it!!! By connecting to heart, you can begin connecting to the infinite wisdom of the universe, expanding your knowledge base and understandings exponentially!!!
It is time to re-think what is possible so we can create a world we all want to live in!!!
